Hi, I’m Tisha! I’m a passionate and dedicated tutor with over 7 years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities. My goal is to help students not only improve academically but also gain confidence and enjoy learning. I specialise in creating a supportive and engaging environment where every student can thrive.

I hold A-Levels in Sociology, Biology, and Chemistry, and GCSEs including, English, Mathematics and Science. This solid academic foundation enables me to effectively support students though various subjects, helping them overcome challenges and succeed.

I am highlight familiar with the key exam boards used throughout the curriculum, including AQA, and Edexcel. This experience allows me to tailor my tutoring to the specific requirements of each exam board, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their assessments. I also help student develop effective exam techniques, time management strategies, and an understanding of how to approach different types of exam questions.

Throughout my tutoring career, I’ve have the privilege of working with students in a variety of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and preparation for important exams such as SATs. I’ve worked with children from Key Stage 1 (KS1) all the way through to Key Stage 2 (KS2), helping them strengthen foundational skills and achieve their academic goals. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of different learning styles and know how to adapt my approach to suit each student’s needs.

Throughout our tutoring sessions, I make it a priority to assess each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement. This allows me to design a personalised learning plan that focuses on the specific skills and topics they need to work on. I take the time to understand their learning style, whether they are visual learners, need more hands-on activities, or benefit from verbal explanations. This personalised approach helps ensure that every lesson is effective and directly meets their needs.

I believe ever student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to match the individual needs, pace, and learning style of each child. My approach is interactive and student-centred, focusing on active participation and hands-on activities that keep students engaged. I aim to make lessons enjoyable while still challenging students to push their limits.

A typical lesson with me is designed to be engaging and productive. I introduce key concepts in a clear and approachable way, using visual aids or interactive activities where applicable. I make sure to incorporate plenty of practice opportunities so the student can apply what they’ve learned. I’ll give the student some short-term exercises to work on before the next lesson, keeping the learning momentum going.

In addition to teaching core subjects, I offer homework help and exam preparation, ensuring that students feel fully supported in their academic journey. I’m commuted to fostering a positive, motivating environment that encourages curiosity, self-confidence, and a love of learning.

I love the French language and pass this on to my students when I teach. Lots of speaking, listening to everyday conversations in various contexts, French songs, practising grammar and new vocabulary. Suitable for school children or adults.
English as a second language is another speciality of mine. I make my lessons interesting and fun. Speaking is the most important part but also writing notes as it is easier to remember afterwards. Listening to conversations and answering questions on them afterwards, while always checking grammar. I can guarantee fast progress.

A comprehensive English class for beginners to advanced! Taught by a native English speaker and lessons can be in Italian or French. We will be speaking English for most of the class, you will have speaking practice every lesson as well as listening, reading and writing which I will correct and mark. We will have grammar lessons and I will explain common mistakes you make, as well as taking you through complicated pronunciation or grammar rules.

I have an excellent understanding of language, I grew up speaking English and Italian, and I learnt French at school, so I understand how language should be taught and what some common difficulties are. I am also learning Turkish and hopefully soon I will be able to teach in Turkish.
