Hi, I’m Irene, I’m 25 years old, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Music and Arts in Basel.

I’m a primary school teacher and a professional accordionist. I have over 5 years of experience in early childhood education. I’ve taught music in private lessons, music schools, and schools, working with children from 3 to 12 years old, as well as with teenagers and adults.

I see education as a mutual exchange of learning between teacher and student, so my teaching approach is based on an open pedagogy that responds to the needs and interests of each student.

Schwerpunkt des Unterrichts ist neben dem spielerischen Vermitteln von Harfentechnik und musikalischen Grundlagen die Arbeit an der inneren Beteiligung beim Spiel. Nach Wunsch stehen Stücke aus verschiedenen Epochen und Stilrichtungen oder die Improvisation im Vordergrund. Der Unterricht findet in Einzelstunden à 45 Minuten im wöchentlichen oder zweiwöchentlichen Rhythmus statt, die Unterrichtsinstrumente werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Professionelle Musiker unterstützt Ina bei der Konzertvorbereitung: bei Klanggestaltung, Phrasierung, Interpretationsfragen, Übungseffizienz und beim Umgang mit Lampenfieber.

Orchestral musician and chamber musician, holder of a double master's degree in pedagogy and performance in France and abroad, I would be happy to accompany you on the way to learning violin. With 15 years of experience, I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola that I have practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day goes by that I tell myself that motivation and pleasure are the biggest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor during my classes a relaxed atmosphere that is conducive to work. Technique is of course very important to me, but it is not just an end in itself.
