Or do you just want to pick up a few songs on the guitar to impress your friends/colleagues without the hassle of committing to some serious music theory? If your answers to all of this are a resounding YES! then congratulations, you're in the right place. I believe the biggest lesson I can share with you about playing the guitar is: practice! and inspiration. Practise is critical, and you can't practice if you're uninspired. Do you want to: a. Learn easy songs and entertain people? b. Play live or record? c. Move on quickly to an electric guitar? d. Get the blues/country vibes? e. Get the flamenco (Phrygian) vibes? f. Play percussive guitar? g. Play instrumental guitar (no singing)? h. Cover pop songs? i. Compose?!?!?!? On the very first meeting, we will discuss your desired guitar goals and realize if I'd be able to help you with them. If you do choose to go ahead with me for guitar classes, the curriculum will look something like this: 1. Music appreciation (this is important for being inspired! the more videos you watch the better! I have playlists you can follow for now and develop your own taste in guitar playing). 2. Finding your way on the fretboard. 3. Finger exercises. 4. Fingerstyle picking/ plucking (depending on the genres that inspire you the most now). 5. Scales, arpeggios, chords, and chord families. 6. Cover songs. 7. Music theory. 8. Keeping up with the tempo (not Kardashians 😛 ) 9. Improvisation and play by ear (or eyes) In professional classes, they'll teach you tempo way earlier but I think it kills the mood for learning. Hence, that is something I intend to cover later. Realistically, we can partially complete steps 1 through 6. Steps 7, 8, and 9 will indeed take a lot of time. So, what are you waiting for? I will introduce myself. My name is Lotte, I am 23 years old and I study Medicine at the VU in Amsterdam. In high school I attended bilingual education and lived for six months in Australia for my education. In addition, I also followed a minor Academic English at the VU. I have also been with my boyfriend, who is from London, for 2 years now. So, enough practice with the English language! During this course I will help you to learn to speak, write, read and listen better English. We mainly do this through assignments that can be made online on a laptop. I will adapt my lesson to the wishes of the child / young person and his / her parents, or the adult I am going to supervise. It is therefore nice for me to have a good idea of this in advance so that I can tailor the lessons to my students and that I can learn as much as possible at the right level.

If you're just getting into learning German, this class is a perfect start. As a native German speaker, I will focus especially only daily conversations. Don't worry, grammar will be part of the class as well. However, my approach is to create a fun learning environment. You will see, sooner or later my methods will enable your brain to think in German. Being able to think in German is what you need if you want to speak German fluently.

The class is designed for middle school students to adults who want to learn Chinese as an additional language. The HSK(Chinese version IELTS) syllabus is followed. English and Chinese will be served as teaching language according to students' level.

You will be given tips, advice, including with exam technique, available for primary or secondary students. We can go through exam practice papers, content from class you do not understand or revision. I am a student at the moment myself, so believe I can give an understanding and patient learning environment.

I am currently enrolled to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at King's College in London. For my GCSEs I received 10 A*s and for my International Baccalaureate I scored 40 points. My specialties are Maths, English, Geography and Economics. I would like to tutor children from the ages 6 to 16. My goal for my lessons is to help students with their homework, improve their general understanding of the subject and to prepare for exams. During high school I was a member of the National Honour Society whereby I tutored students younger than myself and my age twice a week, thus I have learnt how to better explain things and I know the importance of hard work. I am a firm believer of goal setting and visual learning and I am reliable, flexible and patient.
