All ages & skill levels are welcome! Lessons can include: Learning songs & how to practice effectively Understanding harmony and music theory Playing by ear and listening skills Scales, exercises, and proper technique Chord voicings & harmonic wizardry How to improvise and more =) I like to give my students the tools to teach themselves and I believe learning music can be fun and engaging, even when beginning. I'll ask, 'what do you want to be able to do with the piano?' And then I can help you make a plan for how to get there. I have a jazz background and I love to improvise. I have over 10 years of experience playing and performing music, specializing in jazz and improvised music. I studied in New Zealand, earning a Bachelor of Music specializing in jazz piano and composition. I have been teaching piano for over 8 years now, and have been living here in Berlin for 5 years. Location: I offer lessons from a home music studio at my apartment in Plänterwald, Berlin. I can also travel to your location for an extra charge as long as you're not too far away. Language: I generally speak and teach in English, though I can also speak some German to around B1 level. The inheritage thread of Sichuan School (only count from modern China) 1. Zhang, Kongshan (ca. 1830-1905) 2.Ye, Jiefu 3.Ye, Wanzhen 4.Liao, Wenfu 5.Yu, Shaoze (1903-1988) 6. Hu, Jinrong 7. Huang, Yishu 8. Li, Yang With the innermost passion of playing and teaching this interesting instrument, I would love to encounter more international students from diverse backgrounds, as long as we can communicate in English/Chinese. 2025 is my 11th year of practicing. The music ran through my college time in Beijing, pursuing master's degree in the UK, Australia, Italy, and now in Germany as a PhD candidate in art history. My another profession is art curator and researcher. I am keen to spread the music to more regions and population, and even more, fusing the music with different genres of global music. Traditional Sichuan School 1v1 teaching according to student's individual level. There is no fixed order to learn Guqin music. For beginners to advanced. Trusted teacher: Music is one of the cornerstones of a healthy and happy life and it would be my pleasure to help guide you through part of your musical journey. I teach all skill levels and ambitions, whether you want to play bass a hobby, set up a band with friends or want to prepare for a conservatory audition, I can help you. In my teaching I try to give you the best foundational skills to achieve your musical goals. This means a high level of customization is possible if you have an idea of what direction you want to head down, but I will of course guide you on the way as well. As a bassist my strong suits are Rock, Pop, RnB and Neo Soul but through the years I have recorded and played live shows in a host of different genres (Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, Ska, Hard rock etc) so my teaching is by all means not contained to a few genres, I believe having a good overview over different kinds of music is very important. I am originally from Rotterdam, the Netherlands and have been playing bass since I was 13 years old. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electric Bass from BIMM Berlin and have studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Summer 2018), Holland College in Canada (2019-2020) and am an alumni of the Popkurs at the HfmT Hamburg (2025). As a session bassist in Berlin I have recorded in many great studios with Grammy award winning and nominated producers and engineers (Sting, Billie Eilish). Apart from this I play for multiple artists and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and run a YouTube channel with over 500.000 views. Next to this I teach students both in person and online and occasionally work at a music venue, basically I do anything to always be in a musical environment! I can't wait to get started with helping you achieve your musical goals!

I bought a course as a birthday present and he was super nice and professional, explaining as much as he could about music production. Despite coming late he still gave us the full time we booked for, even producing a first track! Would really recommend him!
