Hello, My name is Fabien. I have been the director of the ISSÉTYS music school, located in Lyon 6 for 17 years. I'm also a guitar teacher. My expertise is immense, fueled by extensive experience as a professional musician in my younger years. An expertise rich in theoretical and practical knowledge, the origins of which lie in my third-year studies in musicology, my DEM (Master of Music Studies), and my gold medal in jazz guitar and contemporary music. I've been teaching since I was 20. I'm 52 now. I have over 16,000 hours of teaching experience under my belt! Passionate and expert, teacher (L3 in educational sciences), I teach children, teenagers and adults. I practice active pedagogies (learning by doing) and the best way to learn music is to share it. In more detail, I teach the styles Blues, Rock, Metal, Jazz, Funk, Classical, Bossa, Picking & Folk, but above all I teach the guitar, its functioning, its tips, its methodologies. I also teach harmony, arranging and composition and improvisation. My goal is to open the path of discovery to the learner by awakening their curiosity, their interest and to reinforce the acquired knowledge at expert and professional levels.
