Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can i offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Extra activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. Trusted teacher: Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice. Aside from the technique, participation, passion and fun are also fundamental! I pace each lesson to the needs and the preparation of the students, listen to their requests and choose with them the right path to follow. I had previously played some classical for a few years, but was looking to learn jazz piano and improvisation as well. For this David is ideal, as he studied both as a classical and jazz musician, and has a deep understanding of each. About half the lessons we focus on jazz improvisation. During the lessons I improvise over a few songs, and each session he gives feedback, while adding a new layer of difficulty. We've also worked a lot on rhythm, which has really helped me bridge the gap between classical and jazz. We spent a few lessons on classical pieces as well, to refine technique and musicality. My playing feels much more fluid and musical already, and he's really helpful/knowledgeable with the details. Also, on the weeks where I did have not had much time to practice, we do a more (jazz) theory oriented lesson, which has also helped alot with my improvisation. Overall, I only have positive things to say about the lessons! David is a very easy-going teacher, and from the first lesson I felt very comfortable asking him questions. He's very versatile as well, and easily adapts the lesson according to what suits us best that week.

I have done already more than 5 lessons with Goncalo and I can highly reccomend him. He is very kind and patience, but mostly I great teacher. I was a beginner trying to learn playing guitar via internet without any success. But since I started taking lessons with Goncalo I improved quickly my skills. what we do during the lessons is playing together a song of my choice, first he shows me what the accords are and then we play :)

As a cello amateur , i am striving to constantly learn to play better! when i arrived in Rotterdam a few months ago, i needed guidance to continue practicing . Flavia is the perfect person for this.
