Piano lessons in Berlin for beginners to advanced students with a graduate of the Mozarteum and the UdK.Translate this text using Google Translate.

German below - I started learning piano at the age of five and was lucky enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my university years at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of the Arts Berlin, I had the chance to experience different teachers and approaches to music. Through this, I came to understand how important it is to find a teacher you connect with, and how our needs can change throughout our musical journey. In my teaching, I prioritize giving my students the tools they need to become independent musicians themselves: knowing how to practice effectively, improving their sight-reading skills (which opens up an entire library of music), understanding their own strengths and areas where they can improve, and building a solid foundation of basic music theory as far as it is relevant for their piano playing. A typical lesson looks like this: we start with a warm-up, review the previous week's practice, work on current repertoire, and set clear goals for the week ahead. I focus on helping students approach new music with more understanding and confidence. At the same time, I feel that individuality can sometimes be overlooked in the process of improving as musicians. For me, it is equally important to leave space for creativity, through improvisation, exploring different interpretation options, listening to different recordings, and discovering different repertoire or musical styles. I began playing the piano at the age of five and was fortunate enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the Berlin University of the Arts, I had the opportunity to encounter various teachers and different musical approaches. This helped me understand the importance of finding a teacher with whom you connect well and that our needs can change as we develop musically. In my teaching, it is important to me to give my students the tools they need to become independent musicians: to know how to practice effectively, to further develop their sight-reading skills (which opens up a whole library of music), to recognize their own strengths and areas for improvement, and to build a solid foundation in music theory – insofar as it is relevant to their own piano playing. A typical lesson looks like this: We start with a warm-up, review the week's practice, work on the current repertoire, and set clear goals for the coming week. My aim is to help my students learn new music with greater understanding and confidence. At the same time, I feel that one's own individuality sometimes gets neglected in the process of musical development. For me, it's just as important to create space for creativity through improvisation, trying out different interpretations, listening to various recordings, and discovering different repertoires or musical styles.

Conversations with a spanish master's student in BlackrockTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Conversations with a spanish master's student in BlackrockTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hiya, My name is Marta, I am Spanish student doing a Master's degree at UCD, and that's the reason why I am living in Blackrock, Dublin. I come from Valencia and I studied my BA in Humanities in Barcelona, specializing in Linguistics and Literature and finishing it in Puebla, Mexico, after having been awarded with a Santander Scholarship to study there for 6 months. I am very curious about Linguistics and understanding the basis of different languages and the differences between them, as I think each language reflects a way of seing the world for their speakers. My first languages are Catalan and Spanish, and I also speak Italian and English. During my time in Barcelona, I taught Latin for high school students and Spanish and Catalan for foreign people. I had a great time doing so and could learn about the difficulties that non-Spanish speakers face when it comes to grammar or memorizing some vocabulary related to their field of interest. After being happily adapted to my new life in Dublin, I decided it's time to get back to work and offer clases de lengua to: -to those that are curious and want to start to learn some Spanish (or Catalan!!) -to those who want to improve their Spanish or need some help to pass a certificate level -to those who just look for someone to practice their Spanish with while having a tea or a walk* + I am open to talk about specific cases, like if you want me to mind your children + make them start to be familiar with a second language. *For those who just want to improve their conversational skills while having a tea, my interests are arts and culture, sociology, psychology and history (my master's in International War Studies so I love to talk about current issues). I also enjoy travelling and getting to know other cultures and people. Otherwise, I am a very curious and respectful person and I am always willing to learn and talk about new things and acquire new interests. In case you are interested, feel free to contact me to ask me any question or talk about your needs and preferences! Adios adios :-) Marta

“ Usha is a world-class violinist and violin teacher! I studied from a young age and through college at a relatively high level, but had to put it down for many years once I started working. Usha has helped me relearn the fundamentals with good habits and regain confidence as a performing artist. I love how creatively she tackles complex problems, and how her violin lessons--though focused on music and technique--seem to involve big life lessons as well. I look forward to continuing to study with Usha! ”

“ Mike is a very patient teacher. he is very motivating and he helps in different ways to achieve your learning goals. ”
