My classes will be geared towards anyone who wants to start learning how to dance and build their self-confidence, but also for experienced dancers looking to challenge themselves in other styles of dances. I can teach Salsa, Bachata, Bollywood and Commercial dance styles to beginners and more intermediate dancers looking to learn something new or improve in specific areas.

My aim as a dance teacher will be to help you achieve your goals, and customize the classes according to your dance level, and preferences whilst helping you learn and polish your fundamentals in musicality, rhythm, balance, technique and performance in dance. Of course, most importantly, for all of you have to fun!

Bollywood dance is an expressive and fun style of dance that originated in India and is usually performed in Hindi films. It is popular worldwide, including a mix of the vibrant circle Garba dance, energetic and dynamic Bhangra dance as well as more traditional elegant and beautiful Bharatnatyam and Kathak forms of dances.

Commercial dance is a universal style of dance, performed in music videos, for concerts, musicals or films. It includes a mixture of various styles: jazz, hip-hop, locking, popping, street dance, jazz, contemporary and more.

Salsa and Bachata are both Latin style dances that are usually performed with a partner but also can be performed solo with solo moves called, "Shines." Salsa features flashy and energetic moves with lots of spins whilst Bachata (at least the sensual style) features more sensual, sexy moves with body isolation and head rolls. I will teach you how to distinguish both kinds of music by ear, the right technique, balance, body control and isolation, and of course performance.

About Me
I am a confident self-taught dancer and choreographer, who is passionate and curious about many styles of dances.

I have been dancing since age 7, starting out as a classical bharatnatyam dancer which I was trained in for 9 years. However, then I branched out to bollywood dance, self-teaching myself it as I watched and grew fond of Bollywood films! I choreographed the routines and performed them in the talent shows in my school and at university dance showcases. I also started to listen to more commercial and k-pop music, self-teaching myself those dance styles as well and performing them in the talent shows at school too. At university, I started to choreograph and teach more bollywood, and commercial routines, and also trained in salsa, bachata and kizomba for three years, finding immense joy in partner dancing. I went to lots of events, and festivals throughout the UK and Japan, and also taught salsa and bachata at the salsa society for a year. I was also part of many dance teams, one of them performing in several inter-university competitions in the wild category for Bhangra, placing second!

I really love to teach and want to empower people to become confident through dance. If you would like to learn Bollywood dance or any kind of dance or improve as a dancer, I am here to help you become what you want to be :)

I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form.
We will also let your creative and playful side be part of the process, through a tool that I consider very valuable, which is improvisation 👌 since it allows you to find your own style and recognize your strengths and weaknesses to continue growing in your passion for dance.
With all these tools, entering the world of more complex sequences and why not, creating your own, will be one more step and not an impossible challenge to achieve.🤩
