I discovered I enjoy teching very much while following a minor in education during my bachelor. Throughout the course I learned pedagogy, didactics and methodology, and worked with students of different ages and levels of experience. I love teaching because it allows me to share my knowledge and challenges me to be more imaginative and flexible. The lessons are tailor-made. This means that the goals are going to be adapted to YOUR wishes taking in account previous experience, expectations and musical taste. Even though I have a classical training, I am open to work with different styles. I teach children from 5 years old onwards and adults. Where words leave off, music begins...

My name is Victoria. I give violin lessons in Rotterdam. Picking up a new instrument can sometimes be very difficult, so I will help you in this learning process. In the individual lessons we discuss possibilities of thinking about sounds and ways of bringing sounds to life in different ways. Violin lessons are in particular a great way of exploring the connectedness of the thought, feelings, and body through learning the instrument as well as reading music. In each lesson, we discuss ways of developing a better understanding of this connection using different methods; the methods used for each student can vary according to their needs. As a result, students will be able to play different music on the violin and improvise on the instrument. In music theory, ear training, and composition lessons we delve into the basics of music theory in Western Classical tradition, the history of it, and look at some examples as well as practical exercises for a better understanding of the material. Through the process of learning, we will explore different ways of implementing different theoretical aspects of the sound in creative practice.
