This class aims to help students improve their math skills by guiding them through their homework and providing additional practice with math practice papers. The student will understand key concepts and build a strong foundation in mathematics.

The student is required to bring their homework so we can guide them through it. I will also provide additional practice if the student doesn't have homework or requests for it.

About Me

Hi, my name is Annan. I am Chinese and moved to the Netherlands at the age of 11. I am currently a grade 11 high school student studying at an international school in Delft under the IB system. I have advanced knowledge in Mathematics, algebra, and geometry and have competed in an international math Olympiad competition. Basic Chinese lessons for absolute beginners to Intermediate learners

Chinese is one of the most spoken languages in the world. There are 1.39 billion Chinese speakers in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and worldwide Chinese communities, with 1 million new learners each year. Learning Chinese has become increasingly important these years due to China's economic growth and expansion of the Chinese market, which could create more business opportunities. Also, Chinese is a beautiful and necessary language for Chinese culture enjoyers to understand Chinese culture through the letters and patterns in the Chinese Language.

This class aims to teach Chinese to A1 to B1 level learners. Practice papers will be provided accordingly to teach the students effectively. We will start by learning the pinyin (romanization of Chinese vowels and alphabet), then identify Chinese words, form simple phrases, learn new vocabulary, use grammatical tenses, and learn simple literary devices to form more complex sentences.

I grew up in-between Mexico and the Netherlands and completed a bilingual education in English and Spanish. I passed my GCSE examinations after Grade 10 and attained a final score of 42/45 points in the IB in 2021. After graduating from a United World College, I move to The Hague to study at Leiden University, where I obtained a BA in International Law (summa cum laude).

I started tutoring at 14, but only began doing it regularly four years later at the IB level. My professional experience has also included college-level student assistantships. TU Delft is Europe's most prestigious university for aerospace studies, preparing some of the best engineers. However the selection procedure is tough and demanding, and only those prepared have a chance to succeed.

As a TU Delft student, I know from first hand how stressfull this process is, and can therefore help you succeed in the preparation of these exams. I have previous experience as a tutor back in high school, helping students improve their grades from Cs to As.

Moreover, I have an extensive knowledge on the subjects tested on these exams, having taken them myself, completed the courses at university with excellent grades and teaching over 10 students for the entrance exam.
