Hola! I'm a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona.
I have been teaching English/Music/and almost everything, to children for two years.
I have also taught Spanish to an English family. Conversation, vocabulary, reading, and grammar.
I understand how difficult is to learn a language and how important is to make the student feel free to make mistakes. I use cards, games, books, interactive games, music and as many dynamic things as possible.

I'm studying Music in London, I'm a singer, songwriter and I play some instruments, I can also do basic guitar/ukelele and vocal lessons.
Every student has different ways to learn and I can't wait to hear from you!

About Me

Hola!
I'm Miriam, a Native Spanish teacher living in London.
I have been teaching for more than two years. I have been working in schools, summer camps, private lesson teacher, English academy and as a Spanish teacher.
When I first started being a teacher I discovered that every child has a different way of learning. Everyone needs different ways of teaching. Maybe you are more visual, or you work more with sounds, writing or acting. I always try to be dynamic so it doesn't seem to be a ''normal class'' and when it finishes you feel like you had fun.

I came to London to study music. I'm a singer-songwriter and I always play guitar/ukelele and basic piano. Sometimes I use music to teach as well.

As I said before, at the moment I'm studying Creative Musicianship in London.
Before coming to England, in Spain, I did a course on how to teach, that I could use in my lessons, improve it and add my own method to them.

Therefore, Spanish, being one of the most popular language, becomes an important tool. In order to speak it, the class is composed by grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking. Depending on the time and frequency, the student will be be able to articulate thoughts and write them.
It is vital that the language is spoken, hence, depending on the student’s level, the class will be provided in Spanish and English (swapping when necessary).

I am a native Spanish now living in London, aiming to perfect my English and become a great languages teacher. I lived in Granada (Spain) for seven years, as I studied there, first a degree in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish, English, Portuguese and Chinese) and after that, a master's degree in Teaching. During those years I also worked as a private tutor and for academies. I have experience as a private languages tutor, school support, exams preparation, skills practice, and I have worked with groups and individuals of all ages. My lessons are personalised and adapted for every person/group.
I am ambitious and never stop learning about languages and cultures. I also love spending time with people from different countries, and that is why I have been a volunteer in the students association called ESN (Erasmus Student Network) for 2 years in Granada, planning socio-cultural events, trips and helping foreign students with anything they needed during their stay there, including their use of Spanish language.
