During the last few years I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston (2014), won the “Locomotive Jazz Festival Giovani” contest (2015), and played and recorded together with musicians such as Jerome Hol, René Creemers, Andre Groen, Pieter Douma and Alan Purves. I have performed in several music festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Moers Festival, InJazz, MusicMeeting, Lowlands, Make-it Jazz, and more. I am currently busy with several projects in the modern jazz scene in Germany and The Netherlands, while teaching in an international school in The Netherlands and having private students in Cologne. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe.
