Greetings - I am a native English speaker from Canada, but have lived in CH for the past 38 years. I speak CH German, so if you get stuck on words, no problem! I have taught in the Canton School of Thurgau and also in Migros Klubschule (Business English and Children 6-16 English). I enjoyed these lessons and made many friends. I teach in a way to make it seem fun and have certain procedures to almost force you to remember how to pronounce words and also how to spell them. I offer yoga classes (my style is classical Hatha, as well as Vinyasa) for beginners and intermediate level in Russian or English. I like to combine pranayama with creative dynamic sequences with a focus on correct alignment of the body. The main purpose of my classes is to make you feel balance between body and mind. I have been practicing yoga for 10 years and am Yoga Alliance certified teacher (I obtained my certificate after finishing 200 hours' yoga teacher training in Sanapurna Yoga Studio, Zurich). Yoga gives me balance, joy and inspiration and keeps me sane while raising two little kids :-).

I specialize in training English to business professionals, preparing learners for Cambridge exams, and conversation for everyday and travel situations for school. I assign homework after every lesson and expect diligent work from my students.

As a professional violin player (30 years) have been playing solo and orchestra and chamber music concerts since a very young age and taught over ten years as a teacher. Currently mainly teaching in Effretikon and Wallisellen in the music school. I'm experienced in teaching children from the age of 2.5 years till seniors of age 86 (my currently oldest student). As i am concertmaster in an amateur Orchestra i can prepare you for playing in Orchestra as well. Have fun with the violin but get better with the technique are both a goal for me in teaching.
