Maths Teacher | Senior Year & Maths Specialization | Baccalaureate Exam Preparation | 15 Years of Experience

Maths Teacher | Senior Year & Maths Specialization | Baccalaureate Exam Preparation | 15 Years of Experience

Is your child in their final year of high school and understands the lessons, but struggles to solve the exercises on their own? He knows the formulas, but doesn't know how to use them in an exercise? Does he get stuck on problems or multi-step exercises? His grades remain low despite his efforts? Is he lacking in method, speed, or confidence? Or perhaps the Baccalaureate exam is approaching and he doesn't know how to organize his revision effectively? I can help him transform these difficulties into methods and skills. I am a mathematics teacher with 15 years of teaching experience and hold a Master's degree in mathematics. I primarily support high school students, especially in their penultimate and final years, following both the Moroccan and French curricula. 🎯 My goal: to understand why the student is stuck In mathematics, a bad grade does not always mean that the lesson is not understood. The student may have: • gaps stemming from previous years; • difficulties in understanding certain concepts; • methodological problems; • difficulties in analyzing a statement; • difficulty choosing the right problem-solving strategy; • errors in calculation or reasoning; • difficulties in writing a solution correctly; • a lack of training or confidence. My role is to identify these difficulties and to work progressively on the points that are really preventing the student from progressing. 📚 Preparation and support in the final year of high school Specifically, we can work on: • the functions; • limits and continuity; • Derivation and variations; • exponential and logarithmic functions; • the sequels; • antiderivatives and integrals; • probabilities and random variables; • geometry; • differential equations according to the program; • synthesis exercises and problems; • Methodology and writing. The content is of course adapted to the program followed by the student. 📝 Baccalaureate Preparation For a student preparing for the Baccalaureate, we can implement a structured approach based on: Understand → Practice → Correct mistakes → Try again → Gain independence We work with progressive exercises, exam topics and problems adapted to the student's actual level. The goal is not to mechanically memorize methods, but to be able to recognize a situation, choose a strategy and correctly construct a solution. For my final year students who were tutored in mathematics, I achieved a 100% success rate in the Baccalaureate, with 75% obtaining a distinction of "Bien" or "Très Bien". 💻 Interactive online courses The sessions take place remotely using Google Meet and an interactive whiteboard. The student actively participates during the session: he searches, reasons, writes and corrects his mistakes with my guidance. After the session, I can also provide screenshots of the work done so that the student can review the important points. 👨‍🎓 This support is particularly suited to students who: • want to improve their results; • have accumulated deficiencies; • understand the lesson but get stuck on the exercises; • need a more efficient working method; • are preparing for a test or exam; • wish to prepare seriously for the Baccalaureate; • want to gain autonomy and confidence. Each student has different difficulties. Therefore, I begin by identifying their needs before designing the work to be done. 📩 Are you preparing for a test or the Baccalaureate? In your message, simply tell me: • the student's level; • the program followed; • the chapters that pose a problem; • the desired objective. This will allow me to quickly understand the situation and propose a suitable approach. My goal: to help the student understand mathematics, master problem-solving methods, and approach exams with greater confidence.

Mathematics & Statistics | Secondary & CEGEP | Passionate Data Scientist | Master's in Statistics

(English follows) Hi! I'm a full-time data scientist with a master's degree in statistics, and my mission is simple: to finally make math and statistics understandable for you. I know math can seem abstract and useless. But in my day-to-day work, I use these concepts to solve real problems—and I can show you how those formulas you learn make sense in real life. Why choose me? ✅ I make it concrete: I explain to you what math is really used for with real-world examples (sports, video games, social networks, etc.). ✅ Patience guaranteed: I taught at the University of Montreal and tutored for 5 years—I know how to adapt to your pace. ✅ No judgment: You can ask any question, even if you think it's "stupid" (it never is!). ✅ Proven results: My students improve their grades AND their self-confidence! What I can help you master: SECONDARY (all levels): Algebra and equations Functions (polynomial, exponential, logarithmic) Geometry and trigonometry Probability and statistics Preparation for ministerial exams (CST, TS, SN) Catch-up and upgrading CEGEP: Differential calculus (MAT 103, NYA) Integral calculus (MAT 203, NYB) Linear Algebra and Vector Geometry (MAT 105, NYC) Statistics (201-301, 201-DUA) Quantitative methods And any other mathematics courses in natural sciences, humanities, and technology. How I work with you: 📝 Before the session: You send me what you don't understand (homework, lecture notes, past exams). 🎯 During the session: We identify exactly WHERE the blockage occurs. I explain using simple words and visual examples. You practice while I guide you. We'll check that you can do it again on your own. ✅ After the session: I can share with you a summary of the concepts covered and practice exercises with solutions. I offer support via message for small questions between classes. My approach: no shortcuts, real foundations I'm not just giving you the answers or "tricks" to pass the exam. I'm making sure you truly understand the concepts, because that's how you'll become independent and improve your grades sustainably. Flexibility and accessibility: Online or in-person sessions on the north shore of Montreal. Flexible schedule: weekday evenings and weekends. Affordable price if you are in high school or Cégep (I want to help, not bankrupt you!). Software is never treated as a substitute for understanding: I explain the reasoning behind the method, the assumptions involved, the meaning of the output, and how to verify whether the conclusion is sound. My teaching approach follows a clear progression: understand the problem → identify the appropriate concept or method → develop the reasoning → calculate or analyze → verify the result → interpret it → communicate the conclusion We can work with your course syllabus, textbook, representative exercises, exam topics, dataset, statistical output, research question, spreadsheet, dashboard, engineering application, or professional analytical problem. Whether you are rebuilding mathematical foundations, preparing for an examination, studying advanced calculus, learning statistics, conducting econometric analysis, interpreting research data, or developing practical analytical skills, I will adapt the sessions to your level, objectives, and pace. My goal is not merely to help you obtain an answer, but to help you understand the reasoning, choose appropriate methods, verify results, interpret findings correctly, and solve new problems independently.

“ Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing. ”
