Trusted teacher: A teacher for 20 years, holding French as a second language certification, I give, at the learner's choice, general French courses, reverse pedagogy courses (see explanations below) or French conversation courses. I am indeed concerned with offering the learner a course that best meets their expectations and needs. Because it is not easy to dare to express yourself in a foreign language, I like to work in a caring atmosphere, without judgment, sometimes speaking French when it reassures the learner. Keep in mind that the most important thing is practicing oral comprehension/expression. An hour of conversation class allows you to practice the language orally for an hour, with only brief corrections of your mistakes and a quick reminder of the vocabulary/grammar you are missing. If you want to go deeper into grammar, vocabulary and written comprehension, it is advisable to choose classes lasting 1h30 to 2h to reserve a minimum of 1h for practicing oral expression and comprehension (if your budget allows it, of course). You then have two options: 1. In a one-hour general French course, expect 15 minutes of grammar and written expression, 15 minutes of written comprehension and vocabulary, 15 minutes of oral expression and 15 minutes of oral comprehension. Therefore, plan on a two-hour course if you want to have a minimum of 1 hour of oral expression/comprehension (30 minutes of each). 2. If you want to opt for a more economical solution, you can also plan on a 1h30 course and follow a course in reverse pedagogy. You will then have one hour of class in the presence of the teacher during which you will focus only on practice (conversation and oral comprehension). You will also have about an hour of work at home which will be more oriented towards theory (grammar, vocabulary, written expression and written comprehension). This is an independent course and you have an answer key to help you identify any mistakes you may have. It is of course possible to ask your questions about the time in the presence of the teacher, but these are more questions focused on your individual difficulties. This is the complete opposite of a traditional course where the theory is seen in class (in the form of general explanations by the teacher, which are the same for all learners) and the practice is worked on at home (often in the form of application exercises, without always having the possibility of receiving answers to your questions): this is why we are talking about reverse pedagogy. A course in reverse pedagogy requires more preparation time and you will therefore be billed for thirty minutes of preparation for the independent course. Only courses in inverted pedagogy are accompanied by a work program to be completed at home. On a general French course, the homework will not exceed 2 or 3 exercises.

Trusted teacher: For seven years now, he has been giving French and philosophy lessons, with a view to preparing for the baccalaureate exams. I seek to help my students to structure their ideas, to assimilate the methods of dissertation and text commentary and to improve their writing and oral expression. I really appreciate the privileged setting that private lessons provide for strengthening students' self-confidence. I try to ensure that classes are a space for discussion in which they can confide in each other if necessary. I also try to pass on to them my taste for philosophy and literature, in particular through reading recommendations adapted to each person. I provide students with the documents necessary to prepare for their tests. ✦✦✦ French and literature lessons ✦✦✦ Typical procedure: - The first hour of class is devoted to an analysis of the copies, the program seen in class and the student's needs. - Depending on the texts and themes covered in class, I offer a series of exercises as well as progressive training in dissertation and text commentary exercises. - I provide them with supports so that they can better understand the major literary trends, the different figures of speech and the works followed in the French program. - To prepare for the French baccalaureate oral exam, I give them “mock orals” on text comments prepared in class and give them a series of tips to improve their oral expression. - I systematically give homework to be done between each lesson. Results of my former students in the anticipated French tests for the 2022/2023 session: Louis: written 18, oral 12 Léa: written 11, oral 15 Estelle: written 14, oral 14 Arnaud: written 15, oral 16 Tiphany: written 16, oral 13 Roxane: written 10, oral 14 ✦✦✦ Philosophy lessons ✦✦✦ Graduated with a master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Paris Nanterre and passionate about philosophy, I have been giving lessons for five years to students preparing for the philosophy exam for the baccalaureate. Typical procedure: - The first hour of class is devoted to an analysis of the copies, the program seen in class and the student's needs. - My philosophy courses are more focused on the methodology of the dissertation and the explanation of text and on the development of philosophical reflection than on the learning of “quotations” or philosophical doctrines. - We approach and explain together some important philosophical texts, which complement and fuel the reflection on the theme covered in class. - I offer a series of exercises which aim to understand the major philosophical concepts and currents of thought. I also suggest that they practice writing dissertations and explaining philosophical texts. - I then do a precise analysis of each philosophy assignment and give feedback on what remains to be improved. Results of my former students in the philosophy tests for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 sessions: Ludmila: 17 Damiya: 15 Ahe: 15 Emma: 16 Clemence: 14 PLEASE NOTE: I do not accept requests to write an assignment for the student. I think that the private teacher must support the student in mastering the commentary and the dissertation with a view to the baccalaureate and must not serve the simple acquisition of a "good grade" in the short term. We look forward to providing you with further details and meeting you! All my courses are invoiced, tax exemption possible.

Trusted teacher: Interested in Russian? Do you already have a little patience? a lot of passion? of curiosity and love for learning? all you need is to find a good teacher? You are in the right place :) I find it remarkable that my first student, starting 14 months after our first meeting, knows how to hold a good conversation in very difficult Russian and on various subjects and does not need to speak French at all to make me understand his ideas! It's a miracle? Or just the result of our work ?! Since then my teaching methodology has been enhanced by the chance to meet students from different countries, literally from all professional backgrounds and ages, with different interests, dreams, hobbies, needs. This year, one of my students was able to catch up with 2 years of learning Russian in 2 months and there he follows courses at the college with other schoolchildren for whom it is the 3rd year of learning the Russian language at school. So, are we breaking new records together? :) I'm not going to teach you these 'robot' phrases, my real intention is only to make you love the language, our culture, our traditions, to make you understand our logic, way of living, of seeing things and much sure to teach you to speak the language! And to achieve this, I carefully prepare my lessons drawing inspiration from different sources such as Russian textbooks as the foreign language (all levels from A1 to C2) grammar books, videos, songs, articles press, exam models, I myself make little 'surprise' cards or I imagine little games to make my students revise and reinforce the knowledge received and of course, why not a little Russian literature. Let's learn some wonderful quotes from the poem of the great poet Marina Тsvetaeva or why not share some wonderful lines from Gogol's creation 'The Dead Souls' and of course, if you are not afraid, let's get lost somewhere on the ponds of the Patriarch of Bulgakov in 'The Master and Margarita' :) I would very much like my students to consider my lessons as a pleasure where they can receive solid knowledge while having fun :) I would be grateful and happy if you could share your time with me , your interests and the way you learn other languages and maybe together we could discover new learning methods that will be effective :) PS I speak French and English so I can provide you with the necessary explanations in these two languages, I have no problem with that :) See you soon!
