Hi! I am Enrico, a 19-year-old RUG student and I come from Italy!
I am willing to teach patiently Italian to anyone at any learning stage; I have previous background in language tutoring (in English). I can do both in-presence and online lessons, at your discretion. Hope to see you soon!

I grew up in Germany (mother tongue), and I was raised three languages (Dutch, English). Furthermore, I have knowledge of mathematics and also statistics. My goal is to make studying enjoyable through an alternative and creative approach. I give homework in consultation. Even if there are other courses that require more attention, I can be a support. I study psychology and can offer professional help with motivation problems.

I am experienced in tutoring in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Dutch. My tutoring ensures that the student has more confidence in his knowledge and ability in the relevant subject. I am patient and I find it important that during the lessons the student feels at ease so that there is enough space for making mistakes and asking questions.

I assist and tutor with English writing and conversation. Additionally, I can help primary school students with their English homework.
The tutoring takes place online or at a location of preference.

I will work with you to improve your language skills, such as speaking and listening, for everyday conversation, high school/university, or professional purposes.

I will teach you how to write better, improve your grammar or simply expand your vocabulary.

Together, we will create a personalised plan for you to achieve your goals and I will teach by accommodating to your preferred style of learning. Expect some homework in the shape of fun assignments such as watching videos/films, reading (short) stories, or writing exercises. These are intended to help you learn and will be made to fit your schedule.

With this class, you will improve English noticeably and become more confident in your language sills.

For anyone who would like to give their English skills a real boost during the summer holidays!
Do you have some spare time during the holidays and you would like to work on your English skills?
In this class you can work on your speaking skills and your vocabulary.
Direct feedback is very important while learning a language, which is why it helps to have someone there to correct you in real time. I have my BA in English linguistics and can help you with how you can use your first language to get better at a second or third language you are learning.
I am keeping the contents of this class a bit vague, as I want to construct lessons catered to your needs and level of proficiency.

You have reached the end of your education and you are going to conclude it with a research report or thesis. You've worked on your topic for a while, collected most of the data, and you already know quite a bit about it, but now everything has to come into a well-written and logically structured story. That can be tricky, but I can help you with that! During my career at the universities of Utrecht and Groningen I supervised many students in subjects such as ecology and environmental sciences. I also really enjoy interdisciplinary thinking and working, for example by connecting scientific topics with business administration and/or policy questions, resulting in an advisory report for a company or government.
After my retirement from university in 2019, I also supervised students from other disciplines such as history and geography. Perhaps most importantly, I really enjoy using my broad experience to help motivated students.

I myself have a bachelor's degree in biology, but I also really enjoy the subjects of mathematics and English! Now that the final exams are just around the corner, I think it would be useful to brush up on your skills!

Looking at anything from improving grammar and academic English, to cutting down the wordcount, to re-structuring your argument for better coherence, improving skills such as these can make a big different to your grades, and will continue to be useful throughout your academic and working life.
