The courses I offer focus specifically on Cambridge exam preparation; improving communication skills to achieve greater fluency; and tutoring in English. However, we can adapt the course content to suit the student's needs. I've been a private English tutor since 2019, when I returned from living in the United States, and all my students have performed very well on the exams I've prepared them for. I've primarily worked with younger students, but I also have experience with older students with courses more tailored to their preferences and goals. **English below** Hello, ich bin Helena, eine Austauschstudentin aus Spanien, die zurzeit in Münster lebt. Die Kurse, die ich anbiete, konzentrieren sich vor allem auf die Vorbereitung auf die Cambridge-Prüfung, die Verbesserung der Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, um fließender zu werden, und die Unterstützung des Unterrichts in Englisch. Wir können jedoch den Inhalt des Unterrichts an die Bedürfnisse des Schülers anpassen. If your child needs additional input in English or Maths to help them reinforce their classroom learning or if they are looking to extend themselves to work at Third Level in preparation for High School or Entrance Exams, then I am here to help. After our initial ‘get to know you’ session, I will build a program of learning that will support your child in all identified areas, helping them to feel more confident with concepts or skills they have found tricky to master as well as challenge them to reach their full potential moving towards higher level learning. Through the use of real-world, tangible examples, I will help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and how they can be applied in their own lives. This work will be followed up with targeted areas for further practice, consolidation and/or additional challenge. During my writing sessions, I will guide students in developing their practical writing skills, i.e. grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and organisation of points/plot. Whilst encouraging creativity throughout, I will ensure there are multiple opportunities for students to express themselves through various writing genres. We will also work on editing and reviewing with feedback sessions built in to help consolidate the techniques introduced. I strongly believe that reading is the key to unlocking a whole world of knowledge and imagination. In my reading sessions, I will focus on developing essential skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocab. Through a variety of activities, including reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and analysis, I will help students improve their reading abilities, expand their literary horizons, and hopefully, foster a lifelong love for books. I am currently doing a jazz master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, after obtaining my classical bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. I have been playing cello for 19 years. Over the years I played in various settings: chamber music (small ensembles like trios, quartet), bands (new music), solo and orchestras such as the Nationaal Jeugdorkest and Jong Metropole (national youth jazz orchestra). I love to play classical music but also some jazz, funk or pop! I like to play with people, create music together, improvise... And I hope this is something I can also pass on to my students! Since 6 years I am teaching all kind of people: all ages, all level, in different languages, individual or in groups... So don't be afraid to have a try! I can teach in english and french, and if your level is not fluent we will always find a way to communicate! I teach in The Hague, Amsterdam or online and I can come to your place to teach! Wonderful friendly teacher who is clearly very well trained and talented! What I especially love is that even from an online lesson she observes minute details in my posture which when I correct according to her instruction makes a massive difference to my playing and the sound! 🥰

We had Elsa in for a lesson as my son's usual cello teacher was not feeling well. Elsa was prompt in responding, punctual and most importantly, taught my son effectively. We are very happy with her and will not hesitate to call on her the next time we need her assistance again.
