I have worked with adult students for the past 2 years. Classes are based on the requirements of the Russian Language centre, which is the main organization in Russia for teaching foreigners the language. Classes are aimed at learning the reasons behind all the rules and phrases. This way the student can apply his or her knowledge without being constricted to one learnt phrase as in the Russian language a sentence can be said in many different ways with the same meaning.

I am a dual citizen (Russia-USA) native speaker currently studying International Studies at Leiden University. I have past experience tutoring Russian students who want to learn English in Russia. My lessons can either supplement university courses, or work as an individual program.

During my time tutoring students I have developed a personal study program, which helps students better understand the required material. My goal is to teach a language I am passionate about in a relaxed non-overwhelming manner. Students will improve knowledge of spoken and written Russian, as well as improve their accent.

Subjects that interest the student such as science, history or world topics can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge. Support can also be provided in learning organizational skills, research, and mini projects for older children. I am available to help with studying, homework, or school projects. For online learning, I use a variety of platforms, websites, educational games, and e-books to reach the learning goals of my students. Additional homework can be provided if requested.

Tijdens de cursus voor het inburgeringsexamen leren studenten over geschiedenis, aardrijkskunde en basiswoordenschat, de onderwerpen van het examen. Ze leren hoe ze eenvoudige vragen moeten beantwoorden. Naast voorbereidende lessen voor het Inburgeringsexamen, geef ik ook Zakelijk Nederlands aan expats.
