My name is Maria, an Italian citizen living in Brooklyn. I am fluent in Italian and French, I studied and lived in Geneva for 4 years and I offer French classes for all levels. The tutoring lessons are adapted to your specific needs - for children, teens, and adults - whether you just want to learn a new language or practice it on a more advanced level. I furthermore offer support for proficiency language test preparation. The teaching method I use aims at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language.

Originally from the south of Italy, I’ve been a wandering soul for the last five years, traveling through Europe and the U.S. to finally settle in Brooklyn. The biggest treasure I got out of these experiences was to learn and be exposed to different cultures and languages. I was fascinated by languages for the freedom they give me traveling to other countries and for allowing me to appreciate the essence of the place by living it in its native language.
Three years ago, while in Geneva, I got involved in tandem language learning where I was exchanging my language skills with native speakers from different places to improve my vocabulary and confidence with foreign languages in a relaxed and friendly way. Since then I started to offer private Italian and French lessons to individuals to recreate the same relaxed and friendly environment stimulating the interest and the attention of the students.

- DALF C1, French proficiency certification

I have experience teaching to individuals with different levels of Italian as well as small groups. I was involved in the welcome committee for foreign students of my University in Italy and I worked as a freelance translator from English-Italian and French-Italian.

Buongiorno a tutti! My name is Maria, 100% Italian citizen living in Brooklyn. I offer Italian and French classes for all levels or conversations for more advanced students in need to acquire the confidence necessary to master the language.
The teaching method I use aims at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. Each class is personalized so that you are getting what you need and want from each lesson according to your goals. Alongside building your Italian language foundations with the infamous grammar, special attention will be dedicated to the acquisition of basic vocabulary to be ready to understand simple conversations.

In this rapidly evolving world of expanding knowledge and data, real social connections are vital. From a young age, helping others has been a passion of mine. I am driven to contribute to society by fostering meaningful connections and bringing people together, which is why I'm excited to offer my tutoring services.

Currently pursuing my second year of Civil Engineering at KU Leuven, I've come to realize that my true calling lies in human interaction rather than purely theoretical courses. Consequently, I've decided to pursue a degree in Business Engineering starting in September. Hello everyone! I hold a doctorate in Italian, have been teaching Italian for 5 years and hold a CELTA teaching qualification. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Italian culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Italian in all our lessons depending on your level).
