Trusted teacher: Russian is one of the most spoken languages in the world. It is an official language of Russian, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is spoken in all other post-soviet countries, and also in Israel, the Balkans and the U.S. As Russia has been in the process of positioning itself as a major economic force, including the Russian language in CV would definitely give a good impression to employers. Many companies today are looking for qualified international workers who master Russian. Apart from that, being able to speak the Russian language will allow you to understand Russians and their culture, something which could never happen through cultural exchanges. You would develop a new view of Russian literature, music, and art. Why choose me as a tutor? - I am a native Russian speaker with experience in teaching the Russian language to non-Russians. - I have been teaching Russian for years to beginners and advanced learners. My English and Japanese are fluent, so in our lessons, I will explain everything to you in a very understandable and easy way. - I have been giving private lessons and teaching in classrooms. I have worked with children and adults. - I ensure that you would enjoy my classes because I always try to make the learning process fun and relaxed. Our lessons will always be well organized and well structured. -All the lessons are tailored exactly to your individual needs to help you succeed. - I will help you to achieve the necessary level of communication in the shortest possible time since I also have been learning foreign languages and know the secret for learning them quickly. You will finally begin to speak fluently in Russian. Even if you have not learned the language before, by the end of the course you will be able to speak Russian, learn all the grammar basics, understand native Russian speakers, read and write in Russian. I look forward to meeting you!

Erika - Tokyo$21
Trusted teacher: 🇬🇧Hello! I'm Erika from Tokyo. I previously worked in a trading company and in a music agency in Japan. I studied Russian at university (C1 level) and French in Paris (B2 level), so I truly understand how challenging it is to start a new language and continue until you reach an intermediate or even advanced level. I enjoy playing musical instruments, dancing, and doing crafts. As a naturally curious person, I don't want you to give up learning something new just because you feel you may not have enough time for self-study. With me, you can simply keep going at a steady pace — I will remind you of essential points, help you build habits, and guide you in every lesson, so you can make progress without stress or worrying about time management. I can work remotely and can offer lessons early in the morning Japan time, so I am available for students in Europe or America as well. Please feel free to contact me with your preferred schedule. I look forward to supporting your Japanese learning journey! —- 🇫🇷Hello! My name is Erika and I'm from Tokyo. I worked in a trading company as well as in a music agency in Japan. I studied Russian at university (C1 level) and French in Paris (B1 level). So I know how difficult it can be to start a new language and progress to an intermediate or advanced level. Colonial cities in Indonesia were shaped by political, economic, and cultural imperatives of empire. This course combines rigorous historical analysis with in-situ field learning, inviting international learners to experience colonial urban history through direct observation of city form, heritage architecture, and spatial organization. Rather than abstract narratives or rote memorization, our approach treats cities as living texts. Students study how colonial authorities designed urban space for trade, governance, and control, and how these spatial logics endure in the modern city. The class offers a hybrid blend of classroom discussion, archival interpretation, and guided urban walks in historically significant sites such as old town districts, port precincts, colonial administrative centers, and transportation infrastructure. Participants will explore heritage buildings, street patterns, canals, and rail alignments—observing how power was inscribed into the urban fabric. Learning resources include historical maps, planning documents, photographs, and Dutch-language sources, combined with structured field observations to enhance analytical skills. Field sessions are designed not only to illustrate concepts discussed in class but to immerse students in the material realities of colonial urbanism. By engaging with both documentary archives and urban environments, students will gain a deeper appreciation of how colonial spatial strategies were implemented and how their legacies shape contemporary Indonesian cities. This course is ideal for students, researchers, heritage professionals, and culturally curious travelers interested in urban history, architecture, and colonial studies.

Trusted teacher: What are your goals? Let's work together hand in hand to achieve them! In my lessons... 📕🇯🇵 “Is textbook Japanese different from real Japanese?” Sometimes it is! The textbook phrase “つまらないものですが” (“It's nothing special, but...”) is now outdated. Instead, ‘気に入ってくれるとうれしいです’ (“I'd be happy if you like it”) sounds more natural and leaves a better impression ☺️ You'll enjoy learning this kind of “real Japanese.” 🇯🇵🗾 How do you say “How are you?” in Japanese? What should you say for casual greetings? I'll gently explain cultural backgrounds and how to read emotions, making Japanese communication more enjoyable and understandable. 3 Create natural sentences with fun topics! “Conjunctions are tough...” “Is this phrasing correct?” When you feel that way, let's create sentences using fun themes! “My Favorite Things” or “My Dreams” With unique practice like this, you'll naturally pick up Japanese expressions. 4 Your Personal Feedback Notebook During lessons, I'll correct the words you speak into natural, correct Japanese and write them in your notebook. Hiragana included if needed. Reading them aloud after lessons ensures you truly master usable Japanese. I specialize in lessons that are “gentle, polite, fun, and bright.” Students often tell me, “I feel more confident!” and “I enjoy speaking now!” Let's level up your Japanese together using a learning style that suits you!

I've finally met the tutor who l really wanted to have. She is so kind and good at teaching languages. She provides me with various materials before class. And then I can have time to practice the materials before class. After class, she gave me feedback on which I made mistakes during the class. After finishing the contract with her, I think I will speak English fluently a lot.

Erika is a polite, punctual and reliable teacher. She is also very knowledgeable and can adapt her lessons to the student's needs and level. Her English is perfect when she needs to explain or translate something, but her classes are held in Japanese, as I think they should be. I highly recommend her!
