I started classes with Madeira in preparation for an interview to a French Medical School. While I had a fairly okay level of French already, Madeira really helped me polish my language skills and achieve the level of refinement and ease in my formal conversational skills which I needed for my interview. She was able to expertly identify what areas I needed to improve upon, and through her exercises and feedback I was able to greatly improve my oral skills. Madeira was also incredibly receptive to any requests that I had regarding things which I wanted to work on, and she went above and beyond in helping me understand technical portions of French grammar with which I have always had issues. Excellent Teacher! Paula is really a fabulous teacher. She explains everything so simply and also lets me know the difference between a natural way of talking and a more formal way of writing. She's happy to go with the flow and work on what I need rather than follow a very strict, inflexible class structure. This creates a more organic class which suits me. It's clear she's passionate about making engaging and fun classes, where I'm learning exactly what I need. I throughly recommend!
