In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to beautiful music and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.

I am currently a violin Masters Student in Conservatory Royal of Brussels.
I also have a Master in Education and I have a lot of experience teaching because I used to do it in Portugal. I had students from 3 years old, so I'm prepared for any level!
Passion for music was the main vehicle that brought me to where I am now.

Music classes are a really fulfilling experience as both teacher and pupil learn from each other and enjoy beautiful music !!

About Me

Hello! My name is Ines, I am a 29 years old violinist from Portugal.
10 years from now I started giving lessons to different age groups, and at different levels. A good teacher needs to understand the student and give him the skills he needs to become an artist, always trying not only to grow him in a musical way, but also in the personal one.
I have a Master of Education made in Porto, Portugal, which gave me the skills that I need to continue improving with my students.
In September 2020 I moved to Belgium to continue my studies in Master at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels.

Depuis 10 ans, j'ai commencé à donner des cours à différents groupes d'âge et à différents niveaux. Un bon professeur doit comprendre l'élève et lui donner les compétences dont il a besoin pour devenir un artiste, en essayant toujours de le faire grandir non seulement sur le plan musical, mais aussi sur le plan personnel.
J'ai un Master en éducation fait à Porto, au Portugal, qui m'a donné les compétences dont j'ai besoin pour continuer à m'améliorer avec mes élèves.
En septembre 2020, je déménage en Belgique pour continuer mes études en Master au Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels.

Hello,
I am a violin teacher and violinist. Having taught the violin for 20 years and knowing in depth different instrumental techniques and different teaching methods, I can adapt my teaching to the needs, age and character of each student. In addition, my educational background combined with the unique experience and knowledge given to me by my relatively recent motherhood and my love for children and other human beings, has led me to pursue positive teaching with empathy towards the student who aims to make him happy, to love music and to acquire a solid basis for his overall development! I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar!
I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments.

I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule.

My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. The schedule and repertoire are decided by the student, and we plot a course together depending on your goals, whether that's aiming to place into an academy or the conservatories, or if you just enjoy playing music as a hobby and wish that it accompanies you through your life!

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

This class is aimed for children between the ages of 8-13 who would like to begin developing their vocal technique and find their own unique voice early whilst working in a group scenario. My Group Singing workshop is a mixture of improvisation and technique. Add to that the fun singing with other like-children and you’re looking at a contender for the highlight of your week!

This class is designed to build confidence and promote individual personal and social development and is taught in a fun yet disciplined way. With a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 6 students per class each student will have the opportunity to perform a solo song and also a group song each week with individual feed back and technique advice each week.

In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.

I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.

I give lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
