Sacha - Paris48€
Trusted teacher: Hello everyone, My name is Sacha, I am a 32 year old professional drummer. I am endorsed by Soultone Cymbals (USA) and Agner Drumsticks (Switzerland). I started drums at the Dante Agostini school, I stayed there for four years and then I studied jazz drums at the conservatory for three years. I have been giving lessons for almost ten years now because I have always loved teaching and sharing my experience! I am currently part of several groups: ABRAHMA (stoner/doom), DELIVERANCE (post black/sludge) we were notably at Hellfest 2022 on the Valley stage and Temple and Le Cha (pop/funk in French). I was also the touring drummer at the end of 2023/2024 for the band AL QASAR (many international dates including WOMAD 2024 in Australia and Sziget in Hungary in 2023) I have rather rock/metal oriented influences, I was part of the group Sweat and Tears for four years with more than five hours of repertoire, resident at the Temple Rock Tavern (formerly Guinness Tavern). I also have experience in events with jazz bands (covers of standards) and jazz/funk with brass section (Stevie Wonder, Incognito, Jamiroquai, new JB's, etc.) I give lessons in the HF studios of the 9th and 14th so that students can learn directly on an acoustic drum kit, which is very important to me. The course is adapted to the student's level and desires, the goal being to allow him to be autonomous on the instrument as quickly as possible by teaching him the technical and reading basics. My method is inspired by the Agostini method but focuses more on learning pieces.

Trusted teacher: Pianist for over 12 years, I help beginner and intermediate students to progress on the piano and enjoy playing their favorite pieces. . Music styles: - Pop/contemporary music (Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Yiruma, Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi, etc.) - Classical music (Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, etc.) - Film music (La La Land, Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.) - French pop music (Francis Cabrel, Jean-Jacque Goldman, etc.) . My teaching method: - Beginner level: my work is based on the book "J'apprends le piano tout simplement" by Christophe Astié, a simple and progressive method for learning the basics of piano (reading sheet music, music theory, playing with two hands, chords, etc.). Once some basic skills have been acquired, we can begin to learn the pieces you wish for. - Intermediate level: Instruction is personalized based on the pieces you wish to learn. I will guide you through reading sheet music, interpreting the piece, and improving your technique, while providing you with tailored theoretical knowledge. The goal is to enable you to play your favorite pieces with fluidity and confidence. . Location: At home (Antony and surrounding areas - Nanterre and surrounding areas) . Limited availability: I still have a few slots available for Saturday afternoons and Sundays. To book lessons, please contact me by message on this platform. See you soon at the piano! Daniel ------------------ - My students' opinions - (translated in English) "My daughter Louane (10 years old) has been taking piano lessons with Daniel for 8 months now, and the progress she's made is incredible. She really enjoys playing, and it shows in her motivation and consistency. What we particularly appreciate is Daniel's gentleness and kindness, as well as his teaching style, which is very child-friendly. Louane can choose the pieces she likes, which makes her even more involved, and music theory is naturally integrated into the learning process. It's an approach that's both fun and effective. Thank you for your patience and your infectious passion!" - Nathalie C. "Excellent teacher, excellent teaching style! My son has progressed much more this year than in previous years. Daniel is patient and adapts to his student's needs. I recommend him 100%." - François M. "After playing the piano for 4 years and then stopping for 21, I decided to take piano lessons with Daniel since August 2024. I quickly noticed progress and I recommend him for his professionalism, kindness, and friendliness. I also appreciate being able to choose the pieces I want to learn." - Marjolaine.

Jade

Jade is a truly excellent teacher of the French language with whom I have been having lessons for over a year. She’s is not only a native French speaker, but holds degrees in Linguistics, Teaching and Business, and has significant experience of teaching French over many years. The benefit of this is that she is able to effortlessly teach at any level, with a focus on actually speaking the language in conversation. We have had discussions about things as simple as ordering food in a restaurant to subjects as complex as planning application submissions and urbanism rules (I am an architect). I am certainly not a natural linguist, but through her teaching I have gone from someone who was nervous about ordering a croissant in French, to gaining the confidence to deal with the complex language found in the workplace, and in day-to-day life in France. I would highly recommend Jade, whether you are visiting Paris for a short holiday and want to brush up on some vocabulary, or have moved here permanently and want to broaden your command of the French language.

Mélinda

Melinda is an excellent tutor and I've been completely satisfied by our clases. Melinda took care to understand my learning objectives before structuring are classes around natural conversation, reading, writing, and pronunciation. In particular, she prepares good (and interesting!) learning resources - Including new articles, film clips, and customised exercise sheets. While she speaks English fluently, she manages to teach in a clear and patient manner, meaning she rarely needs to switch to English to explain concepts. Beyond her talents as a teacher, she's incredibly friendly and personable. She's also shown a lot of flexibility regarding class scheduling. For reference to future students: I am a native English speaker learning French as a second language. I had an OK grasp of basic French before starting classes, but lacked both familiarity with grammar and confidence in speaking. I've had several lessons with Melinda and have experienced a clear improvement in my level and I will continue on a regular basis.

Cristina is an outstanding teacher! she gave a cooking class to my 11 year old daughter (via webcam) and it worked very well: my daughter was delighted (and kept her smile for the rest of the day!), and the rest of the family enjoyed the result which was really delicious :-). Cristina is very enthousiast, organised and dynamic and she kept my daughter totally concentrated on her task during the entire lesson; A big thank you!
