Trusted teacher: I am a piano teacher with a specialized Master in Music Education and 19 years of teaching experience, in official music conservatoires, academies and private lessons. I am currently doing my PhD in Musical Sciences: Teaching and Psychology of Music. I also have a Master in Music: Piano, and a Postgraduation in Music in Childhood: Intervention and Research. I tailor my lessons to each student, according to their interests, levels, and learning goals. I love to teach and I have continuously done it privately and in official music schools, with students from beginner to advanced levels, from 3 to about 70 years old. With my help you can learn from a basic to an advanced level, develop musically and technically, read and interpret any score. I have also participated in several piano masterclasses with world-renowned pianists and performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician in venues in Portugal, The Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

I came to Helena as a complete beginner with the piano. Though I played other instruments previously, her help on the techniques of the piano was exactly what I was looking for. She has a fantastic grasp of music theory and made those concepts easily understandable to me as well.
