Trusted teacher: My name is Han-Yin. I come from Taiwan and have been living in Germany since 2017. I have been playing the violin and piano with great enthusiasm since I was six. As a teenager I played the violin in various orchestras, took part in many concerts and was able to gain a lot of experience on stage. In 2012, I started my bachelor's degree in music in Taiwan at Kaohsiung University. In addition to my major in violin, I studied piano as a minor for 3 years and I also studied conducting for 1 year. During my time as a practicing musician, I have gained a lot of experience in different orchestras. In 2013, for example, I passed the entrance exam to the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra and played there as first violinist for three years. On tour tours with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra through China (including Shanghai and Beijing) I played at many concerts. During my university days I took part in many violin master’s courses, which were led by international violin masters such as Ivanov, Repin and Boulier. In 2016 I was accepted into the Summer Academy of the Asia Young Orchestra. With the orchestra members, who come from all over Asia, I have played concerts in various Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan. In 2017 I started my master’s degree in music at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne. During my studies I also played chamber music with colleagues and won 3rd place in the Brigitte Kempen competition in Aachen. In 2019 I was accepted into the orchestra of the Aachen Theater, where I not only played symphony pieces, but also various operas in collaboration with actors. I am currently studying orchestral playing in the second master’s course at the Robert Schumann Music Academy in Düsseldorf. My experience as a violin teacher: During my university days in Taiwan, I gave violin lessons to children aged 9 and over, teenagers and adults. Among other things, I successfully prepared young people for the entrance examination for the music college. My teaching goals: There are different goals, depending on the age, development, interests and needs of the student. For example, it is important to me to adjust myself individually to the person who wants to play the violin. In addition to the classic method, which is more suitable for older adolescents and adults, there is the Suzuki method, which I would use with children who have not yet had any experience with an instrument. It is my concern to strengthen the self-confidence of the children with the help of music and playing the violin. I want to encourage the children to develop an enthusiasm for music and to learn to play the violin with enthusiasm. The focus is on fun and motivation, which results from regular small successes when practicing the violin. But stamina should also be trained, and music theory is gradually being added to. I would also like to cater to the different needs of children, adolescents and adults who already have experience playing the violin. I give my professional support to students who want to improve and refine their violin playing. I also specifically prepare students who want to study at the music college for the entrance exam. My role model function: I am very enthusiastic about music myself and love to play the violin. I want to convey the joy of music and the violin as an instrument. I am very patient and persistent, I can listen well and see what the students need to formulate and achieve their goals. Due to my good ability to observe, I can adapt flexibly to the students and thus teach them according to their needs. Trusted teacher: Welcome to my online Piano Class. I am Maria, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top. I love all student levels, but only towards the CLASSICAL piano, of any eras' works and composers. Don't be afraid, my lesson is human-friendly 😊 Everything goes step by step! Outside the lesson time, I send you lots of short videos to support your practice through the week. As each student is different, I focus on each ones' needs and I am always creative in helping you learn through the simplest ways - "if it's easy, it's correct", that's my motto! My greatest happiness is to watch my students grow, overcome any limit and expand in full potential! As a result, many of my students have won top prizes at major international competitions, as the IBLA Grand Prize, the Spoleto International Piano Competition, the Bach au Jazz (Lilia Boyadjieva) International Piano Competition and many others. And also, at renown online competitions, as The Royal, the IYMC, the Forte Academy, and many-many others. So, in case you need a competition or exam preparation, here you are at the right place! I will help you discover the advanced piano technique, and the ways to achieve your best musical interpretation. Also, very important, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and, also, secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control. I am a very proud piano teacher, as on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded by the renown American Competition "The Royal Foundation" and were invited and performed at a Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! Also, these kids were invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have! On Sept 1st 2024 three awarded students of mine were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan, from another American competition, the International Youth Music Competition. I wish I can always bring such great opportunities and successes to all of my "piano kids"!

Giorgia

I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

David

I had previously played some classical for a few years, but was looking to learn jazz piano and improvisation as well. For this David is ideal, as he studied both as a classical and jazz musician, and has a deep understanding of each. About half the lessons we focus on jazz improvisation. During the lessons I improvise over a few songs, and each session he gives feedback, while adding a new layer of difficulty. We've also worked a lot on rhythm, which has really helped me bridge the gap between classical and jazz. We spent a few lessons on classical pieces as well, to refine technique and musicality. My playing feels much more fluid and musical already, and he's really helpful/knowledgeable with the details. Also, on the weeks where I did have not had much time to practice, we do a more (jazz) theory oriented lesson, which has also helped alot with my improvisation. Overall, I only have positive things to say about the lessons! David is a very easy-going teacher, and from the first lesson I felt very comfortable asking him questions. He's very versatile as well, and easily adapts the lesson according to what suits us best that week.

After 4-5 months of learning piano with Maria, I owe her big gratitude. I decided to learn piano as an adult and Maria helped me to overcome my insecurities in music and motivated me to keep trying and practicing. She truly cares about the whole learning experience and uses amazing methods to guide me not only in improving my playing skills, but also my musicality. The piano classes with Maria are always inspiring and challenging, but not overwhelming. In each class, she corrects the techniques and accommodates exercises for practice accordingly. I am really satisfied with her dedication and feedback. I cannot recommend Maria highly enough. In her teaching, she uses the right dose of professionalism, friendliness, patience, and understanding. Her enthusiasm for the music is so contagious. Her lovely and passionate nature and energetic vibes simply make the class an enjoyable learning experience. I cannot wait for the next piano class with Maria. :)
