I'm originally from Taiwan, The Netherlands is my second home. I specialised in adult Chinese learning for business and practical conversation uses. I love teaching interactively, and encourage students to learn Chinese with structure and intuitively.

I have more than 10 years of teaching experience in Chinese Mandarin. I teach in the international Pin Yin system, or Taiwanese system, including speaking, listening, writing, and reading. I use a pragmatic way to help the student learn the language, and practice in different scenarios according to their progress. Plus I introduce culture sessions, including the modern and traditional discussions.

Hello, my name is Jingwen and I come from Shanghai, China. For almost 5 years, I teach Chinese Mandarin for young and old. I had the pleasure of teaching my language to young children (from 2 years old, foreign language immersion or from 6 years old, traditional language lessons alone or in groups) as adults (complete remedies or beginners). I'm a Confucius Institute (the ONLY globally recognized official institution for teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages) certified Mandarin teacher.

I'm also an official YCT (Youth Chinese Test)/ HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)/ HSKK (Chinese Proficiency Spoken Test) test examiner.

In addition to giving private lessons, I also teach Chinese at international schools and lead Mandarin immersion Spielgruppe (playgroup) in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. My speciality is teaching children between the age of 2.5 and 12 in an immersive and interactive learning environment. By means of guided game-playing, painting, story-reading, drama activities, song-singing, dancing, and handcraft-making, kids achieve organic language acquisition while having a lot of fun.

The predominant features you will find in my class are tailor-made teaching materials and methods that are customized to best suit your specific study objectives (Preschooler Chinese, K-12 Chinese, YCT, HSK, Beginner Chinese, Conversational Chinese, Business Chinese...etc.).

As a language learner myself (B.A. major in Spanish and currently studying German), I have great patience and willingness to help you on your journey towards Chinese proficiency, because I know how frustrating it could get at times. Being in the shoes of a linguistics student for years also enables me to better instruct you, as I understand very well what are the things a learner would find helpful.

I’ve been teaching languages for over 6 years, with more than 3,000 lessons and 400 students worldwide. I specialize in Spanish, English, and Mandarin Chinese, and I adapt every class to your goals, level, and learning style.
