Gevorderden kunnen ook op les komen, om aan een verdieping van de muzikaliteit en klankbeheersing te werken.

About Me

Ik ben Romy, en ik heb mijn Bachelor diploma cello behaald aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. Daarna ben ik Theater Performance gaan studeren aan de toneelacademie Maastricht.
Ik ben geduldig, en vind het geen probleem om helemaal van nul te beginnen met een leerling.
Ik ben momenteel actief als professioneel performer/actrice.
Ik heb ervaring als docent bij Jeugd en Muziek Antwerpen, waar ik verschillende muziekkampen begeleidde (de jonge strijkers-groep, leeftijd tussen 5 en 11).
Verder vind ik het heel fijn om samen aan de muzikaliteit te werken, aan de zeggingskracht van de muziek en de klanken. Dat geldt zowel voor muziek als voor uitgesproken teksten.

I LOVE music. It is a unique form of communication and expression, and I believe everyone is capable of expressing themselves through it. Ik ben Lien en ik speel al 14 jaar gitaar. Ik heb een klassieke opleiding gehad, maar nu speel ik vooral bekendere liedjes.

In deze les zal ik jou akkoorden en noten aanleren, waarmee je binnen een korte tijd in staat zal zijn om elk liedje/melodietje te spelen.

Ik zal op een creatieve manier les geven, waarbij het belangrijk is dat de leerling plezier heeft. De leerling mag steeds verzoekjes doorgeven. Ik pas de lessen aan aan de interesses van de leerling.

Duygu is een zanger, zangcoach, improvisator en dirigent afkomstig uit Izmir\Turkije. Na haar studie bedrijfs- en economische wetenschappen schreef ze zich in aan de Ege Universiteit, het Turks Staatsconservatorium voor Muziek, de afdeling Zang in Izmir en studeerde klassieke Turkse muziek. Tijdens haar studie begon ze op te treden in landen in het Midden-Oosten en Europa. Ook begon ze te werken als zangleraar aan het conservatorium van Suleymaniah (Irak) op zang - Klassieke Turkse muziektheorie. Ze studeerde af met haar MA-studie aan Codarts, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Rotterdam. Na en tijdens haar studie aan Codarts begon ze te werken als zangcoach-muziekdocent en dirigent op verschillende scholen en koren in Nederland. Ze gaf workshops over zangtechniek en Klassieke Turkse Muziek -Maqam-theorie in België en Nederland.

Duygu trad op op verschillende internationale festivals en locaties met meerdere talen, zoals Armeens, Koerdisch, Hebreeuws, Arabisch zoals de Utrecht Rasa, Paradiso Amsterdam, Theather Dakota, Saad Abdullah Palace Conference Hall (Irak), Ahmet Adnan Saygun Concert Hall (Turkije), Izmir Ataturk Culture Center (Turkije), Newlands Festival, Amsterdam Literature Festival, Zurich Festival, The Kurdish Cultural Festival (Keulen), Anywhere the Wind Blows, North Sea Round Town Festival, Operadagen Rotterdam. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need.

In this class, you will learn:
- how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques.
- how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music.
- how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques.
- how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition.
- about the theory and practice of free improvisation.
- about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today.
- how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice.
- how to create an artistic portfolio.

Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.).

Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now!
Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it:
- What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar?
- Which instruments (or plugins) are being used.
- Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary.
- And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire?

At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it.

For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose.

PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler.
During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old.
When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts.

I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free.
Technique is also very important in the everyday life of a musician, together we can see the best exercises for you, to help you improve and have more confidence with the instrument.

Ik ben een concertartiest en heb een grote passie voor lesgeven. Met deze les zal ik je laten zien hoe je een instrument als de piano kunt benaderen, zo'n prachtig en veelzijdig instrument. Ik zal je de techniek van het geluid, toonladders, afgesproken en hun onderlinge relaties leren.

FL studio is een Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) die al jaren behoort tot een van de meeste gebruikte software op professioneel gebied zowel als voor pure hobbyisten. Voor mij, Daniël, heeft het er toe geleid om in 2015 af te studeren aan de Herman Brood Academie als Pop/HipHop producer, evenals het winnen van De Grote Prijs van Rotterdam in 2021. In de tussentijd heb ik (co)producties gedaan voor artiesten o.a. van Topnotch (Universal), en zijn mijn meeste recente tracks te horen geweest op bijvoorbeeld BBC1Xtra Radio.

Met mijn lessen wil ik je graag vanuit de basis helpen bij jouw ontwikkeling als muziekproducer. Alle lessen zijn op maat en praktijkgericht waarbij de nodige theorie ter plekken toegepast wordt op het moment wanneer dit essentieel is. Uit ervaring weet ik dat dit de beste manier is om te leren in combinatie met het vele herhalen van dergelijke handelingen. Het is dan niet alleen effectief, maar ook heel leuk!

Voordat we beginnen vind ik het belangrijk om te melden dat plezier echt voorop staat. Muziek is een mooi middel waarbij we ons kunnen uitten zoals we willen en we daarom ook kunnen maken wat willen. Er kunnen, om de richtlijnen heen, géén fouten gemaakt worden zodra het gaat om creatieve expressie. Het is voor mij daarom ook uiterst belangrijk dat jij je op gemak voelt!

My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire.

I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision.

After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music.

In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music.

Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.

In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world.

Muziek is de beste vaardigheid en het beste hulpmiddel om naar verschillende tijden en plaatsen te reizen! Daarom wil ik je graag uitnodigen voor een voortreffelijk avontuur.
Oud en Tanbour zijn twee prominente instrumenten uit de familie van snaarinstrumenten die je de mogelijkheid geven om een soort muziek (Gahan-muziek) uit te voeren die we kennen als Modal/Maqam-muziek op Dast-Gahi-muziek van de afgelopen eeuwen tot vandaag.
Onze alomvattende benadering van dit muzieksysteem, dat zich uitstrekt van Centraal-Azië tot het Middellandse Zeegebied, zorgt ervoor dat u een diep inzicht krijgt in deze rijke beschaving. Door middel van inspirerende en leuke lessen behandelen we gehoortraining, het lezen van partituren, technieken en muziektheorie en geschiedenis. En het allerbelangrijkste: je krijgt de kans om je speelvaardigheden te ontwikkelen door samen muziek te maken.

- Oud/Ud
Om een bekwame oedspeler te worden, is het essentieel om een van de oed-speelstijlen te leren. Deze lessen richten zich op de Iraanse oed-speelstijl, die een breed repertoire kent, van maqammuziek tot dast-gahmuziek. Naast gehoortraining en het lezen van partituren, zullen we je speeltechniek op een opwindende manier verbeteren, zodat je een verscheidenheid aan stukken van de meesters van deze muziekstijl kunt spelen. Hoewel de oed een lange en gevarieerde geschiedenis heeft, zal onze aanpak volledig eigentijds zijn, zodat je op een moderne en boeiende manier met dit instrument kunt kennismaken.

- Tanbour
Tanbour spelen is een reis naar het hart van het soefi- en mystieke denken. Dit instrument vereist een hoog niveau van techniek, sonoriteit en muzikaliteit, waardoor je een diepe verbinding kunt maken met de muziek en de ziel van je publiek kunt raken. Ik begeleid je door een eigentijdse benadering van het spelen van Tanbour, inclusief improvisatie en compositie, aan de hand van een reeks geclassificeerde stukken en oefeningen. Maak je klaar om geïnspireerd te worden en anderen te inspireren met de epische kracht van de Tanbour.

- Muziektheorielessen (cognitieve benadering in de praktijk van Perzische muziek)
Muziekwaardering is bedoeld om leerlingen te leren de contexten en creatieve processen die betrokken zijn bij het componeren van muziek te begrijpen en te beschrijven, te herkennen wat er wordt gehoord en waar ze naar moeten luisteren, en klank en melodie te begrijpen. Wat is de maatsoort? Welke instrumenten worden bespeeld? Wat voel je als je naar dit stuk luistert, en waarom? De term 'waardering' heeft wortels in de filosofie en wordt in deze context beschreven als het begrijpen van de waarde en verdienste van verschillende muziekstijlen. Onze primaire focus voor deze methode ligt op een cognitieve benadering van de praktijk van de Iraanse culturele beschaving, bekend als Perzische muziek.

Als afgestudeerde van zowel cello als piano aan het conservatorium in Spanje, en een laatstejaarsstudent compositie aan CODARTS Rotterdam, kan ik zeer solide en op maat gemaakte uitleg en begeleiding bieden voor het ontdekken, begrijpen en beoefenen van muzikale concepten - theoretisch, instrumentaal en compositorisch. Ik geloof er sterk in dat iedereen de capaciteit heeft om zichzelf creatief tot het hoogste niveau uit te drukken, of het nu gaat om het spelen van reeds bestaande stukken, improviseren of componeren, en heb de afgelopen 2 jaar beproefde methoden voor het onderwijzen van het lezen, schrijven, integreren en spelen met muzikale informatie in mijn praktijk als docent op een muziekschool in Hoogvliet.

Muziekles geven en mijn kennis en aanpak delen is iets waar ik mijn hele leven al naar op zoek ben. Ik geloof dat elke student een eigen manier verdient om verschillende ideeën uit te leggen en te oefenen die passen bij hun eigen ervaring en persoonlijkheid.

Ik ben ontzettend dankbaar voor de kans die ik heb gehad om les te krijgen van de meest gerespecteerde muziekpedagogen in Spanje. Ik kijk ernaar uit om mijn kennis met anderen te kunnen delen, ongeacht de omvang van hun verwachtingen op het gebied van muziek.

Guitar is a very versatile instrument, used in many different genres, including classical music. For me, my journey with it started somewhere in my early childhood, primarily with listening to my mum's playing of folk songs. What amazed me is the power that music has to make people come together and communicate. So at 10, I formally started my individual relationship with the instrument, studying classical guitar, which has given me some of the greatest pleasures in this life, and I hope it will be my source of joy until my dying day. Currently, I am studying Makam music at the Global Music Department of Codarts, Rotterdam. Be it classical, Rebetiko, or any other genre, it is this warmth that I would like to convey to my students, and introduce them to a lifelong friend and companion, who is going to take them to the most interesting places.

Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it:
- What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar?
- Which instruments (or plugins) are being used.
- Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary.
- And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire?

At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it.

For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose.

PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler.
During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old.
When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts.

I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free.
Technique is also very important in the everyday life of a musician, together we can see the best exercises for you, to help you improve and have more confidence with the instrument.

Hallo! Ik ben Davide, afkomstig uit Caserta (in de buurt van Napels), en ik studeer al muziek sinds mijn 5e. Ik heb twee jazzsaxofoondiploma's behaald aan de conservatoria van Bologna en Salerno, met een Erasmus-ervaring aan CODARTS in Rotterdam.

Ik ben een concertartiest en heb een grote passie voor lesgeven. Met deze les zal ik je laten zien hoe je een instrument als de piano kunt benaderen, zo'n prachtig en veelzijdig instrument. Ik zal je de techniek van het geluid, toonladders, afgesproken en hun onderlinge relaties leren.

FL studio is een Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) die al jaren behoort tot een van de meeste gebruikte software op professioneel gebied zowel als voor pure hobbyisten. Voor mij, Daniël, heeft het er toe geleid om in 2015 af te studeren aan de Herman Brood Academie als Pop/HipHop producer, evenals het winnen van De Grote Prijs van Rotterdam in 2021. In de tussentijd heb ik (co)producties gedaan voor artiesten o.a. van Topnotch (Universal), en zijn mijn meeste recente tracks te horen geweest op bijvoorbeeld BBC1Xtra Radio.

Met mijn lessen wil ik je graag vanuit de basis helpen bij jouw ontwikkeling als muziekproducer. Alle lessen zijn op maat en praktijkgericht waarbij de nodige theorie ter plekken toegepast wordt op het moment wanneer dit essentieel is. Uit ervaring weet ik dat dit de beste manier is om te leren in combinatie met het vele herhalen van dergelijke handelingen. Het is dan niet alleen effectief, maar ook heel leuk!

Er kunnen, om de richtlijnen heen, géén fouten gemaakt worden zodra het gaat om creatieve expressie. Het is voor mij daarom ook uiterst belangrijk dat jij je op gemak voelt!

My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire.

I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision.

After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music.

In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music.

Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.

In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world.

Muziek is de beste vaardigheid en het beste hulpmiddel om naar verschillende tijden en plaatsen te reizen! Daarom wil ik je graag uitnodigen voor een voortreffelijk avontuur.
Oud en Tanbour zijn twee prominente instrumenten uit de familie van snaarinstrumenten die je de mogelijkheid geven om een soort muziek (Gahan-muziek) uit te voeren die we kennen als Modal/Maqam-muziek op Dast-Gahi-muziek van de afgelopen eeuwen tot vandaag.
Onze alomvattende benadering van dit muzieksysteem, dat zich uitstrekt van Centraal-Azië tot het Middellandse Zeegebied, zorgt ervoor dat u een diep inzicht krijgt in deze rijke beschaving. Door middel van inspirerende en leuke lessen behandelen we gehoortraining, het lezen van partituren, technieken en muziektheorie en geschiedenis. En het allerbelangrijkste: je krijgt de kans om je speelvaardigheden te ontwikkelen door samen muziek te maken.

- Oud/Ud
Om een bekwame oedspeler te worden, is het essentieel om een van de oed-speelstijlen te leren. Deze lessen richten zich op de Iraanse oed-speelstijl, die een breed repertoire kent, van maqammuziek tot dast-gahmuziek. Naast gehoortraining en het lezen van partituren, zullen we je speeltechniek op een opwindende manier verbeteren, zodat je een verscheidenheid aan stukken van de meesters van deze muziekstijl kunt spelen. Hoewel de oed een lange en gevarieerde geschiedenis heeft, zal onze aanpak volledig eigentijds zijn, zodat je op een moderne en boeiende manier met dit instrument kunt kennismaken.

- Tanbour
Tanbour spelen is een reis naar het hart van het soefi- en mystieke denken. Dit instrument vereist een hoog niveau van techniek, sonoriteit en muzikaliteit, waardoor je een diepe verbinding kunt maken met de muziek en de ziel van je publiek kunt raken. Ik begeleid je door een eigentijdse benadering van het spelen van Tanbour, inclusief improvisatie en compositie, aan de hand van een reeks geclassificeerde stukken en oefeningen. Maak je klaar om geïnspireerd te worden en anderen te inspireren met de epische kracht van de Tanbour.

- Muziektheorielessen (cognitieve benadering in de praktijk van Perzische muziek)
Muziekwaardering is bedoeld om leerlingen te leren de contexten en creatieve processen die betrokken zijn bij het componeren van muziek te begrijpen en te beschrijven, te herkennen wat er wordt gehoord en waar ze naar moeten luisteren, en klank en melodie te begrijpen. Wat is de maatsoort? Welke instrumenten worden bespeeld? Wat voel je als je naar dit stuk luistert, en waarom? De term 'waardering' heeft wortels in de filosofie en wordt in deze context beschreven als het begrijpen van de waarde en verdienste van verschillende muziekstijlen. Onze primaire focus voor deze methode ligt op een cognitieve benadering van de praktijk van de Iraanse culturele beschaving, bekend als Perzische muziek.

Als afgestudeerde van zowel cello als piano aan het conservatorium in Spanje, en een laatstejaarsstudent compositie aan CODARTS Rotterdam, kan ik zeer solide en op maat gemaakte uitleg en begeleiding bieden voor het ontdekken, begrijpen en beoefenen van muzikale concepten - theoretisch, instrumentaal en compositorisch. Ik geloof er sterk in dat iedereen de capaciteit heeft om zichzelf creatief tot het hoogste niveau uit te drukken, of het nu gaat om het spelen van reeds bestaande stukken, improviseren of componeren, en heb de afgelopen 2 jaar beproefde methoden voor het onderwijzen van het lezen, schrijven, integreren en spelen met muzikale informatie in mijn praktijk als docent op een muziekschool in Hoogvliet.

Muziekles geven en mijn kennis en aanpak delen is iets waar ik mijn hele leven al naar op zoek ben. Ik geloof dat elke student een eigen manier verdient om verschillende ideeën uit te leggen en te oefenen die passen bij hun eigen ervaring en persoonlijkheid.

Ik ben ontzettend dankbaar voor de kans die ik heb gehad om les te krijgen van de meest gerespecteerde muziekpedagogen in Spanje. Ik kijk ernaar uit om mijn kennis met anderen te kunnen delen, ongeacht de omvang van hun verwachtingen op het gebied van muziek.

Guitar is a very versatile instrument, used in many different genres, including classical music. For me, my journey with it started somewhere in my early childhood, primarily with listening to my mum's playing of folk songs. What amazed me is the power that music has to make people come together and communicate. So at 10, I formally started my individual relationship with the instrument, studying classical guitar, which has given me some of the greatest pleasures in this life, and I hope it will be my source of joy until my dying day. Currently, I am studying Makam music at the Global Music Department of Codarts, Rotterdam. Be it classical, Rebetiko, or any other genre, it is this warmth that I would like to convey to my students, and introduce them to a lifelong friend and companion, who is going to take them to the most interesting places.
