About Me

Confucius : "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." Indeed, when teaching, one must be a listener/enabler at all times – guiding the student in the right direction as to pronunciation and writing - but also being able to give them the space to practice speaking “freely”, let them appropriate the materials and experiment with them. This of course allows them to feel empowered in their learning journey, and at ease with language.
Teaching must be based on a lot of games, varied (new) activities to get them to move around while constantly learning. I believe that appealing to the learner’s imagination and creativity are primeval in this line of work. The ultimate aim being to offer the student, through a “hands-on” approach, the language tools he/she will then be using on his/her own.
I like to take short texts, a funny situation, an audio or video excerpt as an introduction, then deduct grammatical forms or vocabulary from them.

Strong of my experience as an assistant teacher and then teacher in Belgium, Switzerland and France, I have an excellent listening capacity and strong interpersonal skills. I like to bring novelty and practical fun into all undertakings, and I attach a lot of importance in giving students the opportunity to practice conversation to grasp grammar concepts and put them in context through songs and games.

Bonjour! Currently a French teacher for adult training (online as well as in a private school), I am also regularly working with children and teens as an English teacher and tutor. My interest in education was sparked early on in my teenage years in Brussels, Belgium, where I took both my CELTA and my BACV courses (Brevet d'Animation de centre de Vacances, the Belgian camp counsellor's certificate).
I obtained my bachelor of English and French Modern Languages and Literature at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), along with a mineure de transition in Information and Communication.
Also a constant collaborator to francophone Belgian journals such as Karoo or Indications, I am a keen fiction writer and film critic.
I am creative, reliable, and of course, I love languages (I speak about 4, my name is Hungarian but I grew up in France and Belgium!) and I hope to make learning French a fun experience, pour que ça passe crème :)
