For me, it’s essential to understand what each student wants from the lessons. Whether your goal is to play just for fun or to develop professionally, I’ll adapt the lessons to your needs, helping you level up your skills while keeping the process enjoyable and creative. With experience as a classical percussionist in orchestras, a drummer in bands, and through my jazz vibraphone studies, I’m able to cover a wide range of styles and adapt the lessons to each student’s musical taste and interests.

Présentation

I am Chrysostomos (DJ Mestre) – a percussionist, DJ, and producer passionate about rhythm, creativity, and performance. I balance a career between classical/jazz percussion and turntablism, performing internationally on both concert stages and festival stages. As a teacher, I enjoy helping students discover their own sound, combining strong technique with personal expression.

Education

Royal Conservatoire, The Hague – Jazz Vibraphone (current studies)

University of Macedonia, Greece – B.A. in Music Science & Art (Classical Percussion)

Diploma in Percussion – Municipal Conservatory of Volos

Degree in music Harmony/Theory

Expérience / Qualifications

Professional percussionist with the Greek National Opera Orchestra and guest appearances in other orchestras (Thessaloniki State Orchestra, Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra, Cologne Youth Orchestra, etc.)

Active DJ/producer performing at festivals and venues including Los Almiros Festival, Street Mode SKG, Off The Hook, Breakin Bad.

Awards: Yamaha Music Europe Foundation Scholarship (2023), World’s Best Musicians Competition (2024), 1st Prize Panhellenic Orpheus Soloists Competition (2021), plus finalist placements at Greek DMC & IDA Scratch Championships

Experienced teacher: percussion & drums instructor at Samaras Conservatory (Thessaloniki) and private DJ/percussion coach in Greece and the Netherlands

I am DJ Mestre (Chrysostomos), a professional percussionist, producer, and turntablist. With experience performing at festivals and venues across Europe, as well as teaching music at conservatories, I bring both stage experience and teaching expertise to my classes.

In our sessions, you’ll learn:
DJ fundamentals:
- beatmatching, transitions, mixing techniques
- Turntablism: scratching, beat juggling, performance tricks
