I am Keith, a Hong Kong percussionist based in Amsterdam and currently finishing my master degree in the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I have won several major international competitions and have great experience in performing. I have also taught privately and conducted masterclasses to inspire the next generation of percussionists. The best thing of being a percussionist is that you can play and find music anytime anywhere! Whether if it's a timpani or your comb, you can produce so many different sounds and exciting rhythm. With one technique, you can almost play anything! If you are a total beginner with music, percussion is one of the easiest way into it. Instruments sound nice already when you play them. Lessons start from knowing the pulse and developing your groove, to knowing the notes and establishing basic musicality. Then slowly you will explore the vast sound world of percussion, starting with drums, mallets instrument or any objects that you can think of! Hi! I'm Demetrio, a musician and composer from Italy. From when I was 8 years old, I've been fully immersed in music, starting out with flute, to then switch to drums and to my first conservatory course in classical percussion. Already in the final periods of this study, I began to fall in love with jazz music and with the instrument of the vibraphone, and in September 2022 I moved to the Netherlands to follow my second bachelor course in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, this time in jazz vibraphone. At the moment I'm in my second Master's year of The Hague's conservatory, on my way to graduation at the end of this academic year. In this class, you'll be able to learn and face many aspects of music, from very practical lessons on the vibraphone, crossing technique, sound producing and reading music, to the idea of playing in a band, the concept of interplay and comping. All of the topics that I present are offered to give students of any level either a solid base for music production and playing, or to consolidate even more and strenghten your skills on more advanced aspects of music. I'm very passionate about listening, sharing, directing and finding solutions to problems that anyone in a music learning journey can face, starting from myself. I'm also very patient and I provide clear and practical explanations, which I believe is very needed in such a confusing and aerial topic as music can be. See you in class! :)

Hello! Are you ready to delve into the world music knowledge? Here is your place! I offer you music lessons where you will get to know percussion instruments, but also the traditional music, the historical background and much more! Always with passion and dedication because of the love I have for teaching and music! I'm specializing in latin, brazilian and flamenco. So, I can teach you a wide variety of instruments and tradition. In the latin/cuban music you can learn congas, timbales and bongó, but also: güiro and shekeré. With brazilian music I can teach you pandeiro, rebolo/tan tan, surdo, cuica, reco reco, tamborim, zabumba and batucada instruments like timbao or dobra. And for flamenco tradition you can learn cajón, but also if you are interested the different partterns of the palmas. All my lessons are prepared for the student, so depending on you, we'll set up the lessons. But here you have the specific points I find more important: - Technical basis: the technique is essencial to be a good percussionist. - Music theory: it can help you to read the scores or to understand the music. - Different rhythms, patterns and styles: latin, brazilian and flamenco are a huge diverse world of music that we will discover in our lessons. - Music accompaniment: we'll learn the role of percussion as the base of a band. - Improvisation: a percussion player can also shine, so I'll teach you the language to talk with the drums. For the lessons I can provide you the instruments! Also, lessons can be individual, duos or groups. You only need to bring your desire to learn! I have experience as a teacher with individual lessons and group lessons with workshops. I wanted to keep growing in music, so I decided to go to the conservatory where I learned classical and contemporary music.
