Hi there! My name is Altea. I’m a qualified and experienced teacher with over eight years of experience teaching students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds.
I’m a native Italian speaker, and I lived in the UK for eight years, where I taught Italian in individual, group, and online lessons. I have supported students preparing for A-Level Italian, professionals working with the Italian market, and people planning to travel or move to Italy. I teach Italian (and English) using the Direct Communicative Method. This means we focus on speaking and understanding Italian in real, everyday situations. From the very beginning, you will learn Italian by actively using it. Our lessons will take place almost entirely in Italian. If you’re a beginner, we can use a little English at first, but the goal is to build your confidence so you can speak naturally and comfortably. We will also work on grammar, pronunciation, reading, listening, and writing, according to your needs. I have experience teaching all ages and levels: from primary school children to professionals, in companies, language centres, and public schools. I’m also very comfortable teaching online, and I use shared drives, digital materials, and interactive tools to make the lessons clear, organised, and enjoyable. I provide all useful digital resources, but you’re welcome to use a physical textbook if you prefer. If you’re passionate about travelling to Italy, planning to relocate, working with Italian clients, or simply fascinated by the language, I can help you learn and enjoy Italian!

Scarcely had I started teaching when I was bewitched by it. With an MA in Film Directing and Screenwriting at the London College of Communication I am currently pursuing a second degree in English Literary Studies at the Utrecht University. I will be teaching with a British accent and prosody and my chief interest lies in academic and formal english. Nevertheless, i keep myself up to date with colloquial language as I travel now and then to London and New York for photography work. It will be a great pleasure to be your tutor and embark on a bipartisan learning journey. I find it just to model the teaching on the student's peculiar needs which means we will be discussing together the right path to follow. I usually proceed along the learning with the aid of Cambridge books, needless to say, according to your level. I am based in Utrecht and i do privilege on-line classes. If you please, we can set-up a first call whereby you can decide if you like me to be your teacher or else if to search further. best, M.D.C

I graduated from the Faculty of Letters and the Humanities (School of Philology/Literature). From 1998 till up to date I am working in Public Service (Greek Ministry of Education) as a teacher of Letters. So my long experience through the public school enables me to handle everyone's needs in learning the Greek language, which is quite difficult, very easily.

Hello! My name's Valeria, I'm Italian and I hold an Arts, Culture and Media BA degree, which I've earned at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Recently I've also completed the the Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (TEFL Academy), thereby becoming officially qualified to professionally teach English both in an in-person and online format. My private English classes will not only cover grammar rules and vocabulary items, but they'll also be largely centred around engaging in lighthearted conversations about everyday topics. Indeed, I think it's crucial to foster in learners the confidence necessary to navigate day-to-day interactions in the outside world. As already mentioned, I'm an Italian native speaker: I've been raised in Verona (North-Eastern Italy) and I've also completed my school path there. Similarly to my English classes, my Italian private lessons will cover grammar and vocabulary items, while also largely focusing around simple conversations about everyday topics (e.g., small talk, greeting, introducing oneself, etcetera). I guarantee that I'll make each and every class as fun and insightful as possible! 😁😁 I'm looking forward to working with you!

Hey! Do you have troubles with homework/school or just understanding basic concepts? Or your kids need some extra training to be the best of the best? I would love to be of help. In my online classes, we have discussions and watch videos to figure out what exactly is the missing link to supreme confidence in the subject. And ofcourse, solving problems is taken seriously to gain mastery. Usually my classes are in advance of what is going on in school. This helps the student be prepared in advance for the class. Normal routine can also be followed on the other hand.

Bonjour! My name is Théo and I am a French native, I am 24 years old and I arrived in Utrecht in September. I graduated from a two years masters degree in History of art and Museology in 2020. I had the opportunity to teach these subjects to bachelor students for a year, so I have some experience in teaching at a university level. I have also given French lessons to a little German boy who lived in my neighbourhood, from his primary to middle school years. I believe I have sufficient experience experince in teaching French at different levels and would love to conitnue giving private lessons. In order to make the lessons more original and dynamic, I could also include art historical references to the classes. I am enthusiastic, patient and professional. My aim is to build a trusting relationship with the students, which I believe will help them succeed. If you are interested in learning French and more generally by French culture, do not hesitate to contact me !
