In this class, I will put the focus on speaking. I believe that one of the biggest challenges when learning a language is daring to speak. We will not focus on long lists of vocabularies, or extensive grammatical exercices, but rather on exercising your listening and speaking skills through chatting together about all kinds of topics. This class is therefore more suited for people who have already a basic knowledge of french and would like to exercice their speaking.

About Me

Belgian student currently involved in a Master's Program in Science Policy at ETH Zurich. I've been teaching various subjects to students since I was 15 and I've always enjoyed it. I speak French as a native language but I also speak English fluently. I strongly believe practice is the greatest way to learn a language, and that's what I try to do with my students, make them talk as much as possible! I'm a very sociable and fun person, I enjoy meeting new people, and I put great emphasis on creating a comfortable and enjoyable learning atmosphere with the people I teach.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.
