I’m Haris, a 28-year-old with a passion for teaching. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. You can count on me to help you with math, specifically statistics, probability theory, and linear algebra. I’m also familiar with propositional logic, Machine Learning (theory and programming), NLP theory, and programming in Python or JavaScript.

I am fluent in both Dutch and English, which means I can provide tutoring in either language. If you’re interested in learning Dutch, I can help with that too!

During my time as a student, I tutored others and developed a love for teaching. Now, I’m eager to pick it up again. I am patient, empathetic, and take pride in explaining complex topics in a clear, intuitive way. I believe that knowledge should be accessible, and I strive to simplify concepts that are often made unnecessarily complicated.

Finished high school at HAVO level in the Netherlands (Almere). Finished first year of IBMS at HvA, after which I did my BSc Lifestyle Informatics and MSc Artificial Intelligence at the VU in Amsterdam.

Currently working as an AI Consultant with a broad range of clients and activities. I work both on the background at the technical side of things, as well as facing clients and stakeholders in the foreground.

Math: I teach based on needs of students, mainly elementary, middle school and IB math, help with homework and helping students get additional help to meet their study goals. I teach English at any levels, focus on communication, grammar and enriching vocabulary.

I specialize in teaching Math, English, French, Biology, History and Geography. My goal is to challenge the learner / student and so to speak, "let the brain work", but not too overwhelming.
I give homework if the parent is okay with it, and provide periodic progress reports.
I teach at locations such as in the park, at my home or with the student / pupil.

I offer beginner and intermediate classes in Python and Statistics.

Python - From the basics such as statements, classes , data types to more advanced topics such as GUI programming and data visualization. It does not matter if you have zero experience or if you want to build upon your current skill set. I believe the best way of learning is by doing so you will have the opportunity to do a guided project with me to put what you learned into practice, it also looks good on your CV!
