As an experienced solo pianist and ensemble player, I would love to share with you my passion for music. I believe that practicing an instrument can be a great activity for everybody. It trains coordination, memory, and multitasking skills and brings a lot of satisfaction and fun.

We can adjust activities in our lessons to your personal goals. Whether you want to apply for music school, prepare for a competition, learn how to read music notation, accompany somebody, or just play for your own enjoyment.

We can focus on the repertoire that you would like to play - classical, pop, or film music. I can also teach music theory if you would like to.

About Me

I am a student of the Classical Piano Bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
For 13 years I have been practicing and exploring music to find my individual way to express myself. In my lessons, I would like to share my experience and passion to help students find the joy of music-making.

I value an individual approach to every student, focusing on his/her strengths, weaknesses, and personal goals.

I started playing piano when I was 7 years old. Then, I became a student of the General Primary and Secondary Music School in Poland. During that time I received multiple awards, e.g. Grand Prix - II International Vocal and Instrumental Competition “Adagio” Nur-Sultan; 1st prize - International Internet Music Competition “IMKA” Sarajevo; 1st prize - International Music Competition Belgrade; 2nd Prize and Special Award - I International Online Instrumental Performance Competition. Moreover, I have received the Scholarship from the President of the Council of Ministers for the year 2021/2022 and the President of the City of Poznań Awards for Special Artistic Achievements three times in a row. After graduation, I started the Arts and Music course at University College Cork, Ireland, where I studied western, Indonesian, Indian, and Irish folk music, and I played in a jazz group, classical ensemble, and Gamelan. Also, I had music technology and composition lessons. This year I started my first year of Classical Piano Bachelor at Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.

I am a professional violinist with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. For the past few years, I have been teaching violin daily in The Hague and the surrounding areas. In my lessons, I offer a combination of professionalism, availability, fun learning methods, and effective strategies to help overcome challenges.

Music is my passion, and I truly love sharing it with others!

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. Most recently I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2021) with a Master's Degree in Music Education (specialising in violin).

I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement.

Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories.

In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.
When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control, and feeling comfortable/confident when singing.

Dominyka is a professional singer, singing, and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague. She plays piano, violin and writes her own music.
Over the past decade, she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. She had a chance to participate in various music festivals as a singer, have concerts of her own, be behind the scenes in various TV shows, and win several vocal competitions, and she truly developed her ears and her knowledge that she is now also able to help others to find their own unique singing voice.

She has developed her knowledge of vocal technique, CVT method, stage presence, body language, storytelling, composition, writing, improvisation and so on. with various great teachers from all over the world. As well as, she had the honour to participate in workshops of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Magda Mayas, Fay Classon, etc. In addition, she took a course with Stevie Mackey, and Cheryl Porter and had lessons with Natalie Weiss. We work on warm-ups/warm-downs, breath support and its control, sound projection, how the larynx, jaw, and tongue work and can function freely, vowel placement, vocal effects, vocal color, dynamics, articulation, stage presence, high notes - power singing (belting), jazz improvisation, vocal improvisation, interpretations, rhythmic variations, and so much more.

This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood.

Lessons
Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions.
I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation.
You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around.

When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun.
I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation.
At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing.

About me
Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020.
I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music.

Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo.

Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory.

I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs.

Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score.

Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom.

I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training.

Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. As an educator, I am committed to the process of learning while making lessons enjoyable and constructive.

I structure the classes into three blocks, which I consider essential:

Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom.

I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training.

Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. As an educator, I am committed to the process of learning while making lessons enjoyable and constructive.

If you are looking for a piano class to teach you from the very basics (reading notes, theory, easy tunes) you have come to the right place! In my classes I plan according to the needs of each individual student, and I make a plan that can help the students' technique and musicality.
I’m Yasaman and I have Master’s in Music Education from the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague.
In my classes my focus is to teach my students how to read notes easily and how to be able to play the pieces that they like apart from our teaching method books.

I structure the classes into three blocks, which I consider essential:

-Technique: through exercises and studies we must develop technical ability.
- Works of all styles: we learn from the great artists of all periods.
-Introduction to jazz and modern music: we will create a routine to work on improvisation and develop creativity.

These are the paths I propose, but each student is free to develop what he/she wishes. I also complement the classes with musical language and harmony.

Every pianist should focus on being a complete and balanced musician. We must develop aural skills, sight-reading, mastery of musical language and harmony, composition, improvisation, creativity, a critical spirit, good taste in music, and above all, a passion for music.

A little bit about me:
I’m a Spanish girl with a Bachelor's degree in piano. Living in The Hague right now, I can go to your home. I’ve teaching piano for a few years. I adapt my classes to the level of the student and their needs. I can teach in Spanish and English.

My name is Wimian Hernandez. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it. I have been focus in looking better ways to start teaching them in order to keep them motivated them. There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (including with your own compositions/songs, etc.) to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss where your musical preference lies and which way we are going. In any case, fun is paramount!

My name is João, I'm from Portugal, I'm 27 years of age, and I have a bachelor in jazz from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I've been playing piano all my life, and can't wait to share what I've learned with you!

I teach piano to all ages from beginner to intermediate. Although I have a program, I will let you create your own path, taking into account the several landmarks I create according to your level and needs. Teaching is all about the individuality of each person I work with, and as a student myself, I find it to be one of the most important points in teaching.

I focus mainly on jazz, but since music theory and harmony touch all kinds of music, I am open to the suggestions you bring into class. The lessons will focus on learning music through listening, as well as introducing the student to music theory, and reading scores. Whether you like Pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova, or Classical, all music comes from the same place, so let's dive in!

In my experience it is important to follow you as a student on the amount of time we spend in lesson, so the length of the lesson is determined by you in the moment, and what we are working on in the lesson. Because of this my rate per lesson in fixed, so depending on the moment and you we can have bigger or smaller lessons.
