Composition is hard to define and is by no means limited to one particular style or genre. Our meetings would provide a framework and the context for you to delve deeper into your chosen ideas and creations.
As well as composition, I am able to assist you with music theory, ear training, piano and general musicianship. I plan my lessons individually and orientate myself towards your goals. Whether you want to create a Bach fugue or a new single for your EDM album, I would be there to support your stylistic decisions.

Tom recently graduated with distinction from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, earning the academic title of Magister Artium. His current music blurs the boundary between a purely noise-orientated production of sound and moments of awareness that reflect on the tranquility of calmness and slow-paced, fragile harmony. Helmut Lachenmann, Klaus Lang, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Ensemble Modern, Meitar Ensemble and Klangforum Wien have aided Tom’s early professional development through international masterclasses, seminars and private lessons in Central Europe and the Middle East. Tom was awarded the second prize in the MAP International Music Competition for his solo piano composition and was also a finalist in the Mayflower Art Centre’s 2022 “In Bloom” MusiCON festival. As a result, his works were performed at the National Opera Centre in New York in 2023. Tom is grateful to be supported by The Cross Trust for a number of years as well as the The Association for Cultural Exchange Foundation, The Scottish International Educational Trust and The Hope Scott Trust.
