All my students have the option to learn to read music but we can also structure lessons around ear training. A mixture of both reading and ear training may also be selected and is highly recommended. All my students spend circa 80% of their lesson playing on the instrument.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

· The Four Essential Strokes: Rasgueado (strumming variations), Picado (scale runs), Arpeggio, and Alzapúa (thumb technique).
· Compás (Rhythm): Understanding the rhythmic cycles of Soleá, Bulerías, Tangos, Fandangos and many more. You will learn to feel the beat, not just count it.
· Falsetas: Short, pre-composed solo phrases. We break them down phrase by phrase, then learn to link them together.
· Accompaniment: Introduction to accompanying flamenco cante (singing) and baile (dance) – chord progressions, capo placement, and staying locked in with the singer.
