I am Selçuk, a musician and Research Assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Music. I have been playing bass guitar for 20 years and double bass for 15 years. I graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Jazz Double Bass Department. I am doing my PhD at ITU MIAM (Center for Advanced Studies in Music). During this class we will put a special focus on improvisation and expand the thematic of Level 1 & 2. During this course Davide will talk about all the most common vocabulary of bebop improvisation skills: Arpeggios, Scales, Diatonic Approaches, Chromatic Approaches, Double Chromatic, Triple, and the most efficient ways of studying them as a vocalist. The goal of these workshops is to improve our ears, timing, confidence and leadership as singers.

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I'm a student pursuing a higher degree in singing (jazz and contemporary music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons.

I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).

I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.
