- Hi there! I am Isabella, and I am Greek-Cypriot living in the UK. I have trained in Theatre, which has equipped my toolkit with all sorts of valuable skills. Having done my masters in Music Theatre, typically known as the “triple-threat” concept, I have realised the significance of honing in on not one, but multiple skills at a time, which is why you are here, to cultivate more skills!
- Other than the importance of teamwork and working well with others, my training has also allowed me to cultivate my leadership skills, having led my peers through multiple projects and workshops. In addition, in my experience teaching theatre to children I have been exposed to different types of personalities and learning speeds, adjusting to each individual’s needs. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
