Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry Tutoring
From 12.49 Fr /h
Often times in Math and Science subjects, students end up feeling lost because they didn't fully grasp a fundamental concept or gain enough confidence in using it. Classes often have a strict schedule to follow, which does not allow them the flexibility of revisiting concepts a student may have missed. Rather than marching on at an unstoppable pace, I place focus on figuring out what gaps in knowledge a student might have and addressing those first, to ensure their foundation is strong enough to always know what the next step is.
My goal is to teach a student how to use their pre-existing knowledge to be able to analyse new concepts and to develop their problem solving and inference skills. Being able to consistently figure out what you don't know and what you can figure out is the basis of strong learning and problem solving skills, and I aim to make this approach a second nature for my students.
Furthermore, knowing what inevitably needs to be memorized (and how to drill this information into your brain) and what can be easily reconstructed from a problem's given information and what you know, are, in my opinion, the cornerstones of efficient study and test-taking skills. Instilling this concept into my students' processes is another of my major goals.
As for whom this class may suit: I can teach Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics from an elementary school level to the university level (depending on the exact subject), and can teach Chemistry up to the high school senior level. If you are unsure about whether a topic or class falls into this range, please feel free to message me!

About Me
Hello. My name is Orfeas and I'm looking forward to helping you with your mathematics, physics, computer science, or chemistry classes.
A little about me:
I completed middle and high school in English, and I continued on to university the same way. English is my prefered language of teaching. However, since I am natively Greek, I can also teach the material in Greek with a little extra preparation.
I began university by studying Theoretical Physics and then switched over to Computer Science. Throughout most of my school life, I've been the person who would explain to friends and classmates concepts they didn't get, or help them with math problems, etc. By doing this, I came to recognize patterns in why people struggle as well as how to come up with alternative explanations to fit the individual's way of thinking, and I believe these skills have benefited me in teaching others.
I aim to be friendly and make my students feel comfortable, and am always more than willing to go over time if the student would benefit.
