My lessons are aimed at students in primary school, secondary school, and university (depending on the program and course). I was fortunate to have a very broad background in the exact sciences thanks to my civil engineering studies. My lessons can therefore cover chemistry (kinetics, equilibria, mass balances, etc.), mathematics (analysis, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, differential equations, etc.), and physics (electricity, mechanics, thermodynamics, etc.). Before starting private lessons, I usually ask for a description of the student's current course so that I can best prepare the sessions.

My studies also instilled in me a problem-based learning approach. My teaching method is therefore primarily practice-oriented, as the most important thing in the exact sciences is being able to solve any type of problem. And to do that, you have to do as many as possible. During my studies, I realized that the best way to understand a subject is by doing exercises on it. However, you still need to have some foundational knowledge. That's why I usually start with a brief review of the subject and provide a formula sheet with the important formulas. Then, I work through one or more typical exercises with the student, explaining the steps involved. Finally, the student will do exercises on their own, using the formula sheet (using formulas is the best way to remember them). I'm there to assess their understanding, answer their questions, and help them when needed.

Des problèmes pour suivre les cours de math ? Je vous propose de revoir à votre rythme la matière afin de rattraper votre retard et de vous préparer au mieux aux prochaines évaluations. Les élèves définissent les points à revoir (idéalement au moins un jour avant la séance afin que je puisse me préparer ainsi que prévoir des exercices supplémentaires). Je prépare également, à la demande, un programme personnalisé pour les élèves.

En effet, lorsqu'on fait appel à moi, je comprends qu'il y a un élève en difficulté en mathématiques. Ma méthode consiste à cerner quel est l'obstacle à l'apprentissage de l'enfant. Je m'intéresse donc beaucoup à lui et l'écoute plus que n'a le temps de le faire son professeur à l'école. Cette attention permet d'instaurer une confiance qui amènera doucement l'élève vers les maths. En effet, je crois que l'élève qui a besoin d'un prof particulier en maths perçoit cette matière de manière négative. Mon but est donc de le réconcilier avec la matière grâce à l'écoute, la confiance et la patience.

Diplômé en bachelier normale primaire : Je propose une pédagogie individualisée et par le jeu, un soutien dans les différentes matières (français, fle, math, éveil) ou un soutien dans les devoirs scolaires pour les élèves de l'enseignement primaire et secondaire.

I'm a patient and successful student at collège Saint Michel who would like to help others in fields where they miss some ability and practice. Math and Science are my strengths, I like the understanding of the world, in the field of the physics and maths, and so would I like to transfer this knowledge to those who struggle with the logic behind it. I think that a qualitative approach to those branches in an early age would ease the future understanding. I seek for the logical reasoning behind everything and the deep understanding so that it can be transferred to children that do not find that logic.
