My basic principle and method in piano teaching are to show how to work on piano as a self-education. Most students cannot continue their studies after they stop working with a teacher. I explain the efficient ways of working with the instrument. I suggest taking 4-8 hours of lessons per month. Each lesson can be between 1-2 hours. It depends on the level of the student. During the class, I assign students to have at least 20 minutes of finger exercises, then to work on pieces that were individually programmed with the student. Additionally, I give listening, reading, and video as homework. I allow students to send me any progress or questions via recorded video or video interview so that they can follow their work until the next class.
