ABOUT ME

Hi! I am a 25 years old Greek Guitarist/Musician that just graduated from the Music Conservatory of Amsterdam and now doing my Masters in Codarts in Rotterdam.

Guitar/ Teaching is my biggest passion and i would love to share it with anyone who is interested in Learning and help them pursue their passion, goals and aspirations. In the lessons, i adapt my knowledge to the students needs in order to help them in the best way i can since everyones musical needs need and personality are different and require a different teaching approach .

TOPICS & DESCRIPTION:

Repertoire - Learning tunes/songs of your own interest and in any musical style.

Hearing - Indentifying scales, chords, intervals, chord progressions and melodies by ear and being able to play them on the instrument.

Theory/Harmony - This field is essential for anyone who wants to audition for a music university programme and needs basic music theory knowledge, or someone who wants to be more knowledgeable in music theory and analysis. I teach basic theory, Jazz theory/analysis, Pop Theory, and music analysis in scores.

Composition - Learning techniques and ways of composing in any style of music.

Technique - Soloing techniques (Alternate picking, legato, finger tapping, sweep picking, economy picking, Bending/Vibrato and expression) Scales/Arpeggios/ Modes, fingerstyle, right hand technique (For acoustic guitar) Rhythm Strumming techniques (for acoustic guitar)

Improvisation: Being able to play musically and with spontaneity over different harmonic progressions and tunes. I am also specified in pop/rock and jazz improvisation.

My method provides general insight very quickly and at the same time is focused on you as an individual from the start.

- be able to read music notes
- basic knowledge of chords on the piano
- in possession of an (electric) piano
- time for daily tutorial
It concerns a course of 5 lessons, in principle during 5 consecutive weeks.
The first two lessons may be split so that I can help you on your way every few days.
Depending on your (style) taste and level, we determine together which songs we will tackle.
What you learn in 5 weeks you can apply to other songs after the course.

I am an active musician since 2014, I have played in several formations from solo performances to bigbands and orchestras.
I mostly play in the genres of jazz (free, fusion), metal, repetitive minimal music and contemporary classical music.
Besides playing I am quite passionate about teaching, during my bachelor studies I have started to teach in music schools and also in private, and teaching since then.

The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. I studied flute at Musikene (San Sebastian) and Codarts (Rotterdam).
