It can be hard to analyse the novels, prose, and poetry put before you in school. Many teachers may sound loony reading too deeply into the colour of a curtain. It is not hard to see why many people today don't enjoy reading. My classes are about more than helping you reach your GCSE targets (although we will assuredly reach them), it is about seeing the skills Literature gives us in our everyday lives. We will focus on your syllabus and we will focus on your exams, but I intend to give you the tools and techniques by looking not only at the texts given by your school but by really engaging with what you look at after school. From the movies you watch, and the TV you binge, to the memes you likely send every day. I believe that the easiest way to learn things is when you already love the subject. The character development, the themes, the techniques, these are things we already emotionally know and understand, the next step is to give names to those things we see all the time. I find myself using my 1st degree in Creative Writing & English Literature every day when I engage with pop culture. You will learn to appreciate more the things you already love. After our initial session, classes from then on are tailor-made for you. I have tutored students from beginner to advanced, and understand that everyone comes with their own specific needs. Whether that comes from past exams, textbooks, or practice, we can get you where you need to go. If a personalised teaching style and curriculum sounds like the thing you need, then please contact me today!

Trusted teacher: My music class varies in instrument, genre/style of music and level of musicality and is dependent on the individual who would like lessons. I teach face-to-face and online lessons. I tailor music flute around the student and their needs as I find a student-centric method always cultivates an enriching musical experience for the student and myself. I take great interest in understanding a student's unique goals, learning styles and preferences. I recognise that each student has a unique learning style; some students thrive with a structured approach, while others may prefer a more creative and exploratory method. By adapting my teaching techniques, and tailoring resources specific to the individual, I ensure you will feel completely comfortable and thoroughly enjoy your flute lessons. I create lesson plans and realistic goals that encourage students to reach their full potential. I keep detailed records of the student's progress, including milestones achieved, areas for improvement, and practice strategies. I believe it is vital to regularly share this information with the student and their parents in order to reinforce their growth and motivate them to continue their progress on flute. My teaching approach has the potential to enhance your music knowledge and skills in an impressive amount of time, making your flute lessons very rewarding and worthwhile! I love teaching any level at any age, as I believe music should be explored and enjoyed by everyone. Everyone has the ability to be a flautist!
