The guitar is a very versatile instrument to play - both acoustic and electric. I can teach you fingerstlye guitar which is more solo guitar - playing the chords - melody and bassnotes without needing a band or others to play music. If you want to play in a band then one can focus on playing one or more of the various styles - like blues guitar, jazz guitar, fusion guitar. I can teach you to play in the style that you like as you can see in the various catergories I have checked. We will go through learning the different scale patters - (also known as modes) - chord theory, knowing the guitar fretboard, various techniques like legato (using slides, pull-offs, hammer-ons), string bending, picking and fingerstyle exercises and much more. If you want to learn how to read music we can start at the very beginning and build up your reading music skill. I will provide all the needed material for you to read and practice and direct you to other helpful ways you can interact with to progress. Please join me and we can start this journey if you are jus beginning or continue with your journey if you are an intermediate or advanced player.

Learn Guitar, Ukelele, and Dotara (A Bengali folk plucking string instrument) - Plectrum & Fingerstyle, Folk, Country, Blues, and Music Theory Interpretation. Here our focus will be on implementing a theoretical understanding of music alongside acquiring new skills to take it to the next level. If you want to learn to play an instrument, you need to learn to entertain yourself first, learn to play not only legendary covers but create your own music in the learning process. It is said that the music instruments you play are actually an extension of yourself. In these classes, you will not only get to learn skills for playing but also will learn how to turn those skills and sounds into music and compositions.

I have been playing guitar for 30 years and offer acoustic, electric, and bass guitar lessons for beginners and intermediate players, both online and in person in Chiang Mai. I have played in many different projects and am still active as a band member, composer and producer. I have previously taught one-on-one lessons in a private music school in Bruges, Belgium for five years. I can work with virtually any style — rock, blues, indie, folk, fingerpicking, bossa nova, funk — and I tailor each lesson to what you actually want to play. No one-size-fits-all method, no dry exercises disconnected from real music. We'll work on technique, but always in service of something you're genuinely excited about. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to push past a plateau, get in touch and we'll figure out where to start.
