I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it!

I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical.
While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain.

My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

I have been teaching for 10 years now and have had the pleasure of working with over 100 students aged 6 to 96! After completing my performance degree I have taken two pedagogical diplomas which have really helped me to create my own didactic methods, from beginner guitarist through to professional performer looking to drill their technique or explore different working and musical methods.

All levels accepted!

The teaching includes a little music theory so that the student can have the bases necessary to the understanding of a score, without this one taking too much place during the lessons.

Have fun learning your favourite songs and playing guitar. We offer tailor-made online guitar lessons. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. All lessons are customized to your skills and goals goals.

Lessons are centered around two principles:
1. Teaching the basics of guitar technique: reading notes/tabs, analysis of melody and harmony, ear training
2. An open approach focused on learning to play your favourite songs

Levels:
Beginners will first learn the basics, such as tuning, posture, basic technique, reading tablature, and playing elementary chords. After ten lessons you will be able to play basic chords and single-note melodies. You will already be able to play your favourite music!
If you are already a more advanced player we will work on improving specific technical and musical skills such as soloing, improving your sound, and learning genre-specific techniques.

Guitar Styles:
You can choose almost any music style you want to play: Pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, country, flamenco, and classical.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

A seasoned and passionate musician since the age of 15, I gave my first lessons more than 10 years ago. I am an excellent pedagogue, and I adapt to the level of the student, whether in terms of technical mastery of the instrument, ability to read notes (or tablature), as well as understanding music theory and of the theory. I put myself at the service of the student, his level and his tastes and musical projects. I have a thorough knowledge of music theory, particularly in jazz, and a long experience of playing together (jazz, rock and progressive metal). I can thus provide the theoretical elements necessary for the student to fully appropriate his instrument, at his own pace, and be able to play in a group, invent bass lines, improvise and compose pieces.

The bass is the most important instrument in a musical ensemble, whether in jazz, rock, blues, funk, metal or pop. She is the benchmark for all other musicians, she defines both rhythm and harmony, and she literally makes the bodies of the listeners vibrate.

I'll help you learn music in the right direction while having fun.

In order to play an instrument well, you can't just have fun, you have to learn the right basic technique. I offer such a lesson so that you learn properly and still don't lose any fun.

I'm now doing my master's degree in both violin and viola. I study in Germany and Belgium at the same time. I can now speak German very fluently, but I'm still on the way to being able to speak French. :)

The time for the lesson is always entertaining.

Composer and tenor with a Bachelor's/Master's degree in composition from the University of London. I teach composition/music theory, piano and singing. I rely on classical methods (bass continuo/partimento) in combination with current methods to develop knowledge of harmony, counterpoint and form in a practical way through improvisation on the keyboard.

Here is some information about me:

I obtained my master's degree at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts as a solo violinist, as well as in chamber music.
Since 2018 I have held a position in the 2nd Violin Group of the Belgian National Orchestra in Brussels.
As an enthusiastic chamber music player, I play regularly and give concerts with different ensembles in Belgium as the Brussels String Quartet.
Teaching and sharing with you all my music knowledge has a very important role in my life.
My research on how to deal with stress on stage is another topic that I find essential and very helpful for everyone who has some issues and wants to improve in that way.

- a hobbyist course: it won’t be time consuming. I will help you learn new pieces and a little theory and solfege. The primary goal of this course is to make you enjoy playing in your spare time without having to practice too much.

- a professional course: in this course I will help you reach the level of a professional musician. I will give you an insight of how to prepare a piece or pieces for a competition or an audition. My name is Jose and I am currently an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. I offer piano lessons for children as well as adults (beginners, advanced, and professional musicians). I am particularly interested in bringing musically passionate people closer to both classical and popular music (gladly also in German or in Spanish).
