Art classes

These classes focus on developing the skills to produce artworks utilising diverse media. The techniques I teach are drawing, painting, sculpture, and engraving, as well as mixed media, where students experiment a combination of techniques and materials, such as photomontage, xilocollage, building of sculptures with non-conventional objects, etc.

Art appreciation & Art History

I use a combination of techniques for Art Appreciation and Art History classes. Some are based on the Visual Thinking Strategies method and guided enquiry, as well as on my background in drama to relate to artworks with all the senses and the emotions. Similarly, my guided observation works on helping students identify and understand compositional principles.
The aim of these classes is to get learners thinking about what they see and what it could mean. This can be done with any sort of image.
This type of approach is particularly important nowadays that human culture has become eminently visual. And students extract enormous joy by sharing and discussing their ideas.

About Me

I am a creative educator and artist working in museums and charities, as well as a performer and actress teaching and working in Cambridge and London, UK.

My work in museums has been varied, and it ranges from exhibition producer and co-curator, tour guide, facilitator, to project manager and programmer. If you don’t find me doing at least one of those things, you’ll for sure find me facilitating a workshop or performing in a show.

I enjoy designing and delivering enthralling and original learning experiences in various formats and suited to different learning styles. I also take pleasure in leading cultural projects to success and devising unique engagement programmes.
I also teach and perform aerial circus as well as physical theatre. I particularly like taking part in and developing ground-breaking performances on topics as diverse and relevant as climate change and gender identity. Finally, I also do photography and digital editing.

As you can see, I am as eager about managing and producing behind the scenes, as I am about being centre stage. I am incredibly passionate about the arts, and I love sharing my enthusiasm, knowledge and creativity with everyone. I cannot wait to share this with you!

I am a CEDILS-certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Who this is for?

This course is for motivated students aiming for TU / FH / Akademie - Bachelor Degree in Vienna.
It follows a mentorship model, providing close guidance and structured support to help students prepare for both Matura and architecture admission exams with greater clarity, efficiency, and (hopefully) reduced risk of burnout.

Format & rhythm

• Recommended rhythm: 2 individual sessions / week, each 3–4 h, primarily held in person.
• Online sessions are offered only when in-person attendance is not possible.
• Start: ideally 9–12 months before the admission date.
• First session: skills assessment drawing test + short questionnaire (preferences, favorite architects, goals). Students who present previous work skip the drawing test.
• Language: English (with translations/explanations as needed).

• Artistic / Representation: traditional drawing (still life, line quality, composition), shape and volume studies, color and material basics, light and values, architectural views, physical modeling and sculpture, photography for portfolio use.

2. Portfolio building / Motivational letter + Ranking test (TU Wien)

• Portfolio strategy aligned with the student’s vision and academic criteria; project-based work with feedback; curated final portfolio pages; captions and visual storytelling;
• TU Wien - specific support including sketches for the motivation letter and ranking test preparation.

3. Interview & Jury impression

• How to present choices: storytelling (problem → idea → resolution → learning).
• Jury cares about: clarity of thinking, process visibility, curiosity, adaptability, visual literacy, attitude.
• Prepare answers for likely questions: motivations, favorite works, why architecture, what you learned from a project, how you solve problems.

I hold a diploma in Photography as well as in Ceramics Design. I have worked for almost eight years in the movie industry, both as a props maker and as an on-set photographer. Alongside this and my own personal projects, I also worked on fashion collaborations, including 3D scanning and multimedia techniques. So if you feel like mixing things up a bit and are drawn to fine art approaches, you are in the right place :)

Mini Makers STEM Lab is a hands‐on, online class where young creators explore early engineering, problem‐solving, and imagination using simple materials they already have at home. The workshop teaches participants how to create selfmade painting and drawing materials from natural pigments and colours (vegetables, plants, soils etc.) and different painting and drawing techniques with these natural colors (watercolour, oil painting, crayon drawing etc.).
