About Me
My name is Ludo, I am 47 years old. I've been a guitarist for about 30 years, professionally for 20/25 years.
A member of several groups during my career, I have done a lot of scenes, recorded in the studio, and for 11 years I have done concerts and tours with a rock band based in London, UK, of which I was the main songwriter.
I started to teach guitar 6 years ago, alongside my musical projects, and I discovered a new pleasure and a new motivation.
It has become my main activity for 5 years.
Sharing my experience, transmitting my passion for the guitar, turned out to be the natural and logical evolution in the continuity of my professional career.
Since this reconversion I have learned a lot.
From my experience as a musician, I have the theoretical knowledge necessary for the application of a complete musical education.
But in practice, faced with apprentice guitarists of all ages, levels, characters, abilities, one cannot delude himself for long without any organizational method or preparation.
In short, being a good guitarist does not guarantee being a good teacher.
Being naturally sociable, I have always liked communication, human contact, and I have always thought as a musician that it is important to know how to listen.
It is in this very intuitive way, and nevertheless armed with a solid experience of the instrument and musical knowledge, that I took the first steps as a teacher.
Since then, I have taught over fifty students, of all ages and levels.
Being passionate about music, I have always invested a lot in my lessons (from the start). My method has been refined and adapted. I especially learned to develop the pedagogical aspect, at the center of the teacher / student relationship so that the transmission is the best possible.
I saw too many young students who came dragging their feet to pick up the guitar, after stopping, because of too rigid and theoretical teaching, which had discouraged them.
My goal is to help students achieve their goals, to exceed them if possible, on a very simple basic notion: PLEASURE ...
I always tend to establish a relationship of trust and sharing with the students, so that the course is a space of motivation and pleasure.
When the practice of the guitar is no longer an ordeal but a desire, or even a need, it changes everything in the process of learning the instrument.
