My name is Innes. I am professional musician and fully qualified teacher originally from Scotland but now based here in Paris. I can offer lessons in any style including rock, pop, jazz, folk and classical and have an in depth knowledge of music theory. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the students and are structured accordingly. So wether you want to to learn classical or rock, standard notation or tablature, improvisation or interpretation, I am more than happy to cater for your individual needs.

Le cours a comme objectif acquérir les connaissances nécessaires concernant l'outil informatique afin de dominer les techniques essentielles de l' enregistrement, l'édition et le mixage.
Les cours introduisent l'instrument ordinateur ainsi que des éléments fondamentaux sur le son. D'un point de vue logiciel, on va s'introduire au cubase, adobe audition, ableton live et autres selon l'intérêt et le parcours de chaque élève.
Les séances s'organisent sur trois axes: l'enregistrement, le traitement et montage, et la transformation en temps réel.

Guitar

- Basic guitar techniques: ergonomic placement, fingering, left and right hand synchronization work;
- Reading of score and/or tablature;
- Tonal and modal harmonic constructions, musical structures linked to all styles;
- How to construct chords on the guitar based on English notation (C#m, Bo, Am6, G/B, C7(9b) or traditional (I6, V7);
- Transposition of pieces - harmonic field and knowledge of chord models on the guitar neck;
- Scales for improvisation (major and minor modes, pentatonic modes);

Solfège (musical training and composition)

- Development of relative ear: recognition of intervals, chords (major, minor, diminished, augmented), rhythms and measures;
- Solfeggio: tonal, modal and atonal;
- Fundamentals of musical composition: cells, motifs, phrases, sections;
- Construction of melodies in several different modes (tonal, modal, polytonal and atonal melodies)
- Harmony: composition of chords, sequences, modulations, harmonic discourse, analysis of works;
- Rhythm: construction of rhythm structures based on several different composition tools;
- Orchestration and counterpoint;
- General techniques of contemporary composition;
- Composition in a specific genre;

My method

My teaching adapts to all levels and involves getting the student to develop his / her potential in a relaxed body by learning to use his / her "machine" correctly in order to reduce tensions as well as to arrive at a greater fluidity at the same time. 'instrument. I also teach in order to give greater autonomy to my students, it requires a mental as well as physical understanding of the work, what I commit to transmit as much as possible according to the level and objectives of the student .

My journey

I teach since 7 years now and this at all ages. I have a Master's degree from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, with Professor Richard Raymond. I'm studying today at the Alfred Cortot music school in Paris with Bruno Rigutto

Anciennement étudiant de l'Abbey Road Institute et de l'ISTS, Je suis désormais ingénieur du son et réalisateur musicale pour divers projets. Je pratique la M.A.O depuis mes 11 ans et j'y ai appris l'utilisation des logiciels Logic Pro, Ableton ou encore Pro Tools.

J'ai eu la chance de travailler dans un studio d'enregistrement professionnel pendant plus d'un an et d'y avoir vu des artistes comme Thérapie Taxi, L.E.J, The Dø, Synapson ou encore Parcels.

J'ai moi-même un groupe nommé Later. avec lequel je suis signé sur le label Cookie Records (Pain Surprises) et Kitsuné musique. Je me charge de la production musicale, des enregistrements, des arrangements, du mixage et aussi du mastering.
Notre musique a obtenu de très nombreux passages radios (Nova, Fip, France Inter, RTL etc...), plusieurs Playlists Spotify Officiel et de nombreuses interviews (Côté club sur France Inter, France 2, Greenroom etc..). On comptabilise désomais plusieurs millions de streams sur les plateformes.
Nous avons également participé au lancement de BE Records (label de Bon entendeur) en signant un titre original sur leur première compilation.
Récemment, notre morceaux Highway 10 a été repartagé sur Twitter depuis l'espace par Thomas Pesquet.

Je suis également producteur et réalisateur pour plusieurs artistes. Que ce soit pour un single ou un EP/Album, j'accompagne les artistes de la composition jusqu'au mixage/mastering de leur projet.

Également DJ, notre label organise très régulièrement des soirées auxquelles j'ai la chance de mixer. Nous avons remplis des lieux comme le Kilomètre 25, Madame Loyal, Le Mazette, La Java ou encore La Grande Arche de la Défense.

J'ai aussi eu l'opportunité de percher et d'être à la post-production de plusieurs court-métrage qui m'ont permis de progresser dans la prise de son et l'univers du cinéma.

Je m'adapte selon vos envies, en ma compagnie vous pourrez :

I have a DEM in musical writing (writing in the style of so-called classical composers) from the CRR in Aubervilliers and I am currently studying towards a DEM in piano at the same conservatory.
I also study jazz on my own and regularly improvise in a more free manner.

Learning music can sometimes be laborious, which is why I like to insist on a clear work strategy by leaving the student with a clear and achievable mission each week.
