Many music teachers begin their instruction with solfège (music theory). My method is different: I prioritize the joy of playing from the very first lesson. Students quickly learn to play simple rhythms and pieces, which motivates them and builds their confidence. Every child is unique, which is why I adapt my lessons to each student's pace, abilities, and personality. I offer targeted exercises that allow for effective progress while maintaining a playful approach. The goal is for learning to remain dynamic, motivating, and creative, because we learn faster when we're having fun! The lessons include a variety of activities so that the student develops their sense of rhythm, coordination and enjoyment of playing. Generally, students can play their first piece of music independently after about two months of lessons. Regular progress monitoring is also provided so that parents can follow their child's development.
