In the past 10 years specifically, I've immersed myself in daily painting with oils, and mastering the Alla prima technique (wet on wet technic = one painting in one sitting), however, I have also dabbled in layering and glazing for a while. Whilst oil painting has being rumoured to be very messy (And it can be extremely messy) I have built a clean painting structure, as I am also living with a cleaning freak (the love of my life), a 3 year old child and a boxer dog. That's why I offer 1-1 tutoring sessions at my place, in a patient, friendly, and instructive environment filled with good vibes and good music (probably the most important ingredient!).

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. Leia is a super knowledgeable and personable teacher. She tries to understand what are your goals when trying to improve your drawing skills and adapts the lessons to help you with it.
